It is August the 9th, and the 2012 campaign for the Detroit Lions has taken another huge blow. Of course the blow comes where the team is weakest…the defensive secondary. Arguably the best player there, Safety Louis Delmas, has had knee surgery and is out indefinitely, leaving the Lions with far more questions than any kind of real answers for the issues in the secondary. The good news is once roster cut downs star to happen the Lions will be in a position to add a few guys; they may even feel the need to trade for a guy because this injury is very bad to the outlook for this team in 2012.

Lions DB Louis Delmas Has Undisclosed Knee Surgery
The Lions' official team website reports safety Louis Delmas had a surgical procedure on his left knee performed by Dr. James Andrews.
