Brent Celek key weapon in Eagles offense

The 2012 Eagles will begin their road to the Super Bowl against the Cleveland Browns with expectations high. Will Michael Vick remain healthy? Can LeSean McCoy duplicate his success from last season? With his new big contract will DeSean Jackson play to his potential? These player questions along with the uncertain Eagles defense under Juan Castillo will begin to be answered against the Browns.

The star power mentioned and how they perform is key to how far the Eagles will go this season. But one player equally important to the offensive success of the team and also not of star status, Brent Celek.  Without strong play from Celek, the offensive will struggle just as it did the beginning of last season when Celek started off slow. Toward the latter part of the season when Celek was healthy, he along with the rest of the offense saw a dramatic improvement.

The Eagles will need great play from stars, Jackson, McCoy, Maclin and Vick  without question. Brent Celek who doesn’t have that star status is no less important to the success of the team and will be a huge factor whether the stars post STAR NUMBERS.Similar Posts:
