State of the Texans:
New York Jets
RELIANT STADIUM – The Texans continued their early 2012 success by toppling the Titans 38-14 at Reliant Stadium on sunday. The Texans have proven they can throttle lesser opponents and have led by 20+ points going into the fourth quarter in every contest so far this year. This is unchartered territory for the Texans’ organization and the fans. Some fans are waiting for the wheels to come off, but the reality of being 4-0 at this point means that if the Texans go 6-6 throughout the remainder of the season, they finish 10-6 and most likely make the playoffs again. Of course, that’s a worse case hypothetical scenario and meant to simply illustrate the significance of being 4-0.
After the game, the man who brought football back to Houston weighed in on his 4-0 feelings, “It’s great, but that’s one fourth of the season. It’s really the right way to start it. You couldn’t be any better. We still have a long way to go, but the team’s playing great and I’m really proud of them,” sa

The Tennessee Titans are like the punch drunk boxer who gets dominated and bruised for 12 rounds, knocked down 3 times and at the end of the fight says well he never hurt me with any big shots. That’s Titans guard Leroy Harris who gave up two sacks to Watts yet told Tania Ganguli of the Houston Chronicle that “he locked Watts down for most of the game.” Even if that is the...
The first 4 Weeks of the NFL season are over and everyone is already updating their rankings after a crazy start to the NFL season. Who would have thought the Houston Texans, Atlanta Falcons and Arizona Cardinals would be 4-0? Did you believe the New Orleans Saints would be 0-4? The rankings you will see were developed through not only comparing the record of the teams, but also...
We're only 4 games into the NFL regular season and a couple of teams have only played 3 games. So it seems a little ridiculous to award players being the best of the best after only a quarter of the season has passed. But I don't care, this is fun and my opinion will be heard. So here are your Quarter Year Awards for the NFL.
MVP - Arian Foster may be the best...
Chris Johnson is arguably the best runner for the Tennessee Titans. An explosive runner that has been reduced to the bottom of the NFL stat sheets. Johnson is the 2K yard man with many attributes that attributed to one of the top contracts for a running back in the NFL.Why the suggestion to get rid of him? I’ll admit that it would be hard to watch your star player once again be...
Titans Rule Out QB Jake Locker For Week 5 -
Jake Locker (shoulder) will not play in Sunday’s game against the Vikings. Locker is in danger of missing multiple weeks. The Titans want his twice-dislocated left shoulder to get as strong as possible so he doesn’t end up needing season-ending surgery. Veteran Matt Hasselbeck, who averaged 223.2 yards per game and threw 18 touchdowns...
The beginning to the Houston Texans season has been perfect in the win-loss department, but not perfect overall. They’re a team that is finally gaining national recognition as a legit Super Bowl contender and in many cases, the best team in the NFL through four weeks. But as anybody can tell you, it’s not about where you are as a team in September and early October, but rather...
The Quality Stats Power Rankings continue to fluctuate, but a familiar face returns to the top spot. And what 2-2 team dropped 12 spots to No. 28 in our rankings?
I’m sure all fantasy owners who drafted Chris Johnson in either the first or second round have been utterly disappointed.Johnson’s production through the first three games was pathetic. To open the season he gave fantasy owners a whopping 5.1 points. Then, he followed that up in weeks two and three with 2.8 points and 2.9 points. In a previous article I had written, I advised...
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Guard Steve Hutchinson said he, "saw the writing on the wall" as the Minnesota Vikings entered last offseason looking to get younger and that he wasnt surprised by his release a few days before free agency started in March.Hutchinson, the 12-year veteran who spent six years with the Vikings, ended up signing a three-year, 16 million contract with the...
The Texans, Falcons and Ravens hold their own atop this week's power rankings, but, there is plenty of movement in the middle ranks... including the Arizona Cardinals making their climb upwards.
Jake Locker's injured left shoulder likely will keep the Tennessee Titans quarterback from playing Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings and there's a possibility he could miss several games. Locker suffered a separated non-throwing shoulder in Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans. Coach Mike Munchak said an MRI on Monday showed no structural damage, The Tennessean reported...
It's time for a new parlor game here at Total Titans, namely "what the heck is going on when the Tennessee Titans give up a passing touchdown." Since we're all about the synergistic gain here at Total Titans, I'll be doing this in a series of photos highlighting Michael Griffin in a takeoff of the "Where's Waldo" series of books, thus...

It is officially week five of the fantasy football season and in this article we are once again focusing on the rankings for this week. These rankings will help you determine which running backs you should play and sit this week and are based off standard scoring with a point per reception.
It has kind of been an up and down season for running backs thus far, with some big...
