I’ve got my reservations about Tony Sparano just like everyone else. Has Tony Sparano blossomed as a head coach? The Miami Dolphins head coach is TOO STUBBORN, especially when it comes to his offensive line (OH…you better not bring that group up to this supposed O-line guru). Sparano’s not good with click management or timeouts, and his game management needs work. He’s conservative by nature, even though he’s working to be more aggressive this season. But the common thread in four years is he plays not to lose, instead of playing to win. I’m not certain Sparano can put together a top notch coaching staff without the assistance of mentor Bill Parcells. In past seasons he’d run his teams into the ground during practices, and they eventually wore down at the end of the year (check the back-to-back 7-9 seasons, which each featured late season collapses). This years he’s stopped grinding the players into the ground at practice and the Dolphins are healthy and fresh (knock on wood). Hi...
