As we all know, the Jets looked pretty bad in the media with the publicized comments between Santonio Holmes and Brandon Moore. It was clear there was some resentment between both sides, so in a move made to force unity, Rex Ryan made Santonio Holmes and Brandon Moore the team’s only captains for the coin-toss.
Nothing can bring people together like the common cause of caving your enemy’s head in, and so when Moore and Holmes stepped out to midfield, the two had put the statements made to the press behind them.

The Holmes-Moore feud apparently ended on Monday night around 8:25. That’s when both men took the field as Jets team captains, representing the team for the pregame coin toss.
"We both looked each other in the eye and said let’s go, it’s time to play football," Holmes said.
