A movement called “Save Our Chiefs” is sweeping the midwest…and the nation. At over 100,000 Twitter followers, the grass roots campaign to restore order with the Kansas City Chiefs is getting some attention. While Chiefs fans may be delighted at the news of Matt Cassel’s benching in favor of Brady Quinn (a sign that the team is bagging 2012 and perhaps its hat into the Matt Barkley Derby), plenty of work still needs to be done. The team’s architect, Scott Pioli, is under fire for the team’s woes and may be out at season’s end. His struggles are aptly pointed out in a .pdf file issued to fans through the group’s Facebook page. (The Fire Pioli .pdf) Pioli drank the Belichick Kool-Aid, tried to re-create it with artificial sweeteners and food coloring, and attempted to re-name it Chiefs Kool-Aid. Sorry Scott but that drink has as much chance as succeeding as Hi-C’s Ecto Cooler. Trying to enact a version of Patriots West sounds like a fine idea in principle but some of the following peo...

According to Jason Cole at Yahoo! Sports, wide receiver Dwayne Bowe wants out of Kansas City "very badly."That's old news now, and to be honest, wasn't much of a surprise either.I can't blame him though. The Chiefs aren't exactly a powerhouse at this point. At 1-5, the Chiefs are just about out of playoff contention, and when your team is having a quarterback...
Chiefs running back Peyton Hillis was back at practice Wednesday and could play this weekend against Oakland for the first time since Week 3.
Hillis sprained his right ankle in the Chiefs' victory at New Orleans on Sept. 23. He's was able to take advantage of their bye last week to get back on the practice field.
Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel said he wasn't sure whether...
Things are bad in Kansas City. So bad, in fact, that even the poetry of a disgruntled fan doesn't overstate just how miserable life must be as a Chiefs fan.
The Kansas City Star routinely publishes letters from readers on its website, and, while most take aim at political and social issues facing the community, one fan's creativity and displeasure with the...
Kansas City Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel told reporters in his weekly press conference Monday that he will start Brady Quinn at quarterback this Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. Quinn replaces Matt Cassel, who has struggled and missed a game because of a concussion. "Brady Quinn is the guy I want to go with," Crennel said. The Chiefs (1-5) are coming off a bye. They...

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) Brady Quinn will take over as the Kansas City Chiefs' starting quarterback and Matt Cassel will serve as the backup beginning with Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders.
Quinn started in the Chiefs' loss at Tampa Bay two weeks ago because Cassel was still feeling the effects of a concussion sustained the previous week against Baltimore.
Breaking News: Chiefs Name Brady Quinn Starting QB, Demote Matt Cassel -
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel is giving Chiefs fans what they ask for today. In his weekly press conference on Monday, Crennel announced that Brady Quinn will be the new starting quarterback and that Matt Cassel has been demoted to backup. The thought in Kansas City was that once Cassel was healthy...
It looks like the bye week -- and the three preceding weeks off -- did Chiefs running back Peyton Hillis some good. Hillis hasn't played nor practiced since suffering a high ankle sprain in Week 3, but he was present at practice Monday.
For the season, Hillis has 21 carries for 93 yards and has caught five passes for 33 yards. Source: FFToolbox.com Attached Thumbnails

The Kansas City Chiefs hope an underachieving former first-round pick can help turn around their disappointing season - or at least finally lead them to a home win.
Brady Quinn makes his second straight start Sunday when the Chiefs look to avoid a sixth consecutive home loss to the Oakland Raiders, who are still searching for their first road win.
Kansas City (1-5) has not held...
No, we’re not telling you to add Brady Quinn to your fantasy team. Rather, this may be the only week we’ll suggest playing the Raiders defense. Take advantage of their matchup against the Chiefs.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) The Chiefs are turning away from a former seventh-round draft pick whose career is spiraling toward ignominy, and putting the offense in the hands of a former first-round draft pick whose own career thus far has been a disappointment.
Matt Cassel is out. Brady Quinn is in.
Nobody is quite sure whether the Chiefs will be any better off when they host the Oakland...
Based on the last couple week of media saturation, Scott Pioli has come out in full on damage control mode. This is not a surprise other than the fact that his stated goal of not being the face of the franchise has been pretty much thrown to the wayside.
