The Texans blew their chance at the top seed in the playoffs following a huge collapse, where do they go now? Here is my first look at the NFL Draft.  There are a lot of teams that need quarterbacks this year.  The problem, there are not enough QB's in the draft. I expect to see teams trying to trade down, will they have any takers? 1. Chiefs - Bjoern Warner, DE, Florida State 2. Jaguars - Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia 3. Raiders - Dee Millner, CB, Alabama 4. Eagles - Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M 5. Lions - Chance Womack, OG, Alabama 6. Browns - Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M 7. Cardinals - Geno Smith, QB, UWV 8. Bills - Matt Barkley, QB, USC 9. Jets - Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan 10. Titans - Lane Johnson, OT Oklahoma 11. Chargers - Johnathan Cooper, OG, UNC 12. Dolphins - Keenan Allan, WR, Cal 13. • Just look at any team that is or was a champion and you'll find that special someone on that team that has this unique quality. And that quality is "A Touch of Evil". Be it MJ on the Bulls or Ray Lewis with these current Ravens. These special guys have no remorse or regrets as to what they did in their prespective fields, in order for their teams to become champions and themselves present and or even future hall of famers. Yes, my good Texan fans. Until this team produces that special someone. You know, that guy that mushes the grapefruit in their opponets face (J.Cagney Public Enemy No.1) leaving no doubt that they and their team means business. These Texans will always be a grapefruit short and championship late...
  • The needs are not great,
    1. A power rusher that can dependably get two or three yards when needed. Time after time they stalled in the red zone. Texans have great open field runners but not through a crowd.
    2. Some help on the defensive secondary too many times burned for long yardage when they have had the opposition stalled.
    3. A goooood place kicker. All the best teams constantly have their opposition in a hole almost in their end zone. The twenty yard line is not good enough; out at the two is the way to go.

Houston Texans 2013 Needs

A lot of people will point to the Texans as a classic case of peaking too early. After an 11-1 start, they finished 1-3 and dropped all the way down the 3rd seed. After a less than impressive win over the Bengals in the post-season, they lost convincingly in New England to the Patriots. However, their problems started well before the final 4 weeks of the regular season and the post...

2012 NFL Season Report Card: Houston Texans

When the Houston Texans were sitting at 11-1 and looking ready to smash every expectation set for them before the season, I pictured that this season review would end up a lot differently than it will now. With the way the last six weeks of the 2012 campaign went, it was like a tale of two teams. But in being the same roster and the same team, Houston fizzled the last quarter of...
