My initial concept for this post was to provide reasons for Chiefs fans to remain hopeful, but, um…I got nothin'. Consider these facts: • Kansas City just relieved the offensive coordinator of his duties, two weeks prior to the start of the regular season.• The $63 million franchise quarterback has a strained MCL that will likely cost him two to four weeks. • Head coach Todd Haley says, "I don't think we're going to be a high powered group right now." No, it appears they will not be high-powered. To make matters worse, Kansas City's schedule is murderous, particularly in the first half of the season. It hardly seems reasonable for a two-win team to draw this lineup:Within their first 10 games, the Chiefs face each of last year's top five defenses. By the end of Week 12, they will have opposed seven Ds that are currently ranked in the top 10 for fantasy purposes. Larry Johnson(notes) will get a steady diet of elite run defenses, too...
