New-orleans-saints

Drew Brees and his New Orleans Saints are struggling this season without their head coach Sean Peyton. The Saints have to play the Atlanta Falcons next who are 10-1 on the season and having one of their best seasons on recent times.  Brees and his Saints are looking for their sixth win of the season to get back to playing .500 football. The NFL has really hurt the Saints with the bounty gate scandal, not having their head coach on the side lines due to the suspension set the Saints back further than anyone would have thought before the season started. New Orleans is going to have to find a way to slow down the Falcons offense down in order to have a chance of a win. If Matt Ryan gets a lot of pressure the Saints might have a chance. Brees and the Saints offense has to get going quick in this game. The team needs to jump out in front and they have to stay there.  If Brees has to play from behind in this game the Falcons defense will bring a ton of pressure to Brees and this could be one long game for the guy who got a 110 million dollar extension this season. Either way this game is going to be one of the great games on the 2012 NFL schedule this season.  Can the Saints hand the Falcons their second loss on the season? Stay tuned to find out….

You have to give credit where credit is due and the New Orleans Saints have found a way to dig themselves out of a 0-4 hole and crawled back to a respectable record. Drew Brees: “This process was kind of a sham from the start”

Drew Brees says that the bounty issue that made headlines across the nation was nothing but a sham. He also said that instead of dividing the Saints locker room, it has brought them together. As the Saints make their final push for the playoffs, Brees is simply saying that whatever the NFL was trying, didn’t work.

Saints' Vilma, Smith attend hearing

Right from the start, the NFL said Gregg Williams was in charge of a pay-for-pain bounty system with the New Orleans Saints. The former defensive coordinator - who told the league about others' involvement - was being cross-examined Friday by lawyers for players appealing their suspensions in the case. And two of those players, Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma and defensive...

The New Orleans Saints didn’t put either WR Marques Colston or WR Lance Moore on the injury report for this week, per WWLTV New Orleans. Both receivers were checked for concussion symptoms during the game against the San Francisco 49ers, but appear ready to play against Atlanta. Colston and Moore will be key components in the Saints’ Thursday night tilt against the Atlanta Falcons...

Atlanta has been buzzing all week with anticipation for this game, and this incident definitely just cranked it up a few notches. Christian Boone of the Atlanta-Journal Constitution reports that the airport workers that egged the New Orleans Saints team bus Wednesday night will be disciplined.  It also appears that the egging may have gone unnoticed, if Saints players [...]

QB Ranks – Week 13

QB Rankings Drew Brees and Matt Ryan are two of the top fantasy options at the quarterback position in week thirteen. The Saints struggle on the road and the Falcons excel at home which leads us to believe that the Saints may be throwing a little more thus leading to Brees being ranked ahead of Ryan this week in my rankings. RGIII has a date with the New York Football Giants on Monday...

Saints Nation: 5 things to Look For in Saints @ Falcons

Gameday! I'm not sure how I feel about having a game on a Thursday night, but it sure makes the end of the week more exciting. The Saints will attempt to take the season sweep on the Falcons today and run their record back to .500 in the process. The Falcons are 10-1 on the season and I think we all know who that one loss belongs to. The two teams know each other well so there...

Saints-Falcons Live Blog, Second Half

For the first 25 minutes of the half, the Saints laid dormant as the Falcons ran all over them. New Orleans’ run D barely contested a run-heavy opening drive score that was so easy for Atlanta that Michael Turner didn’t look like he weighed 400 lbs. for once. Brees responded by hitting a nearly impossible deep throw on 3rd down to get the New Orleans to the Atlanta side of the...

Falcons/Saints Part Deux

A little after eight o'clock tonight the Falcons and Saints will go at it for the second time this season with the Falcons looking for a much different finish. The Falcons sit at 10-1 but still have a bit of a bitter taste in their mouth as their lone loss came at New Orleans. The Saints might deny that this is a rivalry but these two teams grew up hating each other and that...
