Dirty Bird Blog:
It will be a battle of birds for NFC supremacy when the Atlanta Falcons face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. But the Falcons may not get to face a familiar face on offense for the Eagles.
Thankfully, it appears as if this key game will not be simply made out to be Arthur Blank and the Falcons vs. Mike Vick and the Eagles. It will be Atlanta vs. Philadelphia in a battle of two of the top teams in the conference.
While I admit it may have been nice to see Vick play against the team who drafted him and gave him every opportunity to succeed as a man in life and a player in the league, the Eagles will be forced to go with Kevin Kolb again under center. Vick’s ribs are still a bit too sore, and the team will not rush him back. Although Kolb has fallen out of favor, Philly still knows that he is more than capable of leading the offense.
The Falcons do not really have any roster issues or many health concerns right now, and they finally get Michael Jenkins back in the starting line...
