INDIANAPOLIS _ I’m tired of all this crying for Cris Carter. There were three other players who didn’t make it into the Hall of Fame on Saturday and were way more deserving than Carter: Charles Haley, Dick Stanfel and Will Shields. Haley was a dominant defensive player with the 49ers and Cowboys and is the only player who has 5 Super Bowl rings. He also has 100 sacks. SLAM DUNK! Stanfel was one of only two players pushed forward by the senior writers, who are the only people around who can speak intelligently about the old days.
