The other day I made mention in a post that Quintin Demps is a player who could "go from zero to hero" with a good spring and summer. This generated some talk about Quintin and his situation. He's a player that some people are very down on. Rightfully so, to a certain extent, but we need to see what he does this summer. Let's go back a few years. I loved Demps coming out of college. I had him on a list of players I wanted the Eagles to draft. He was a big time playmaker at UTEP. Q picked off 17 passes in his career. As a Senior he picked off a pair of passes in the endzone and ran them all the way back for TDs. Demps was instinctive. He had terrific ball skills. He was athletic and had good cover skills. The big question was whether his mediocre hitting/tackling would be good enough for the NFL.Quintin was terrible early on as a tackler. He was passive.
