With Thursday marking the conclusion of the Jets' stay in Cortland, N.Y., so ends another week of Tim Tebow hysteria.

In recent days, the backup quarterback exceeded his usual hype, covering most of the news spectrum with continued training camp struggles (and secrets), his 25th birthday, and, yes, that certain magazine cover.

On Tuesday, the latest issue of GQ magazine was released, with Tebow featured front and center, and also in a few questionable poses.

Predictably, some backlash ensued, frustrating Tebow, whose firm beliefs keep him from ever toeing the line of indecency. As it turns out, he was just as surprised to see it -- six years late, at that.

"Most of you knew I was on there before I knew, so it's kind of a shocker for me," Tebow told reporters, via ESPNNewYork.com. "It was something I think I did maybe six years ago in college. Honestly, the first time I heard (about the cover) was when we were in the cafeteria and it was on ESPN. That's when I found out, so it was kind of a shocker to me as well."

Oddly, Tebow has become accustomed to defending a topless photo. After all, it wasn't long ago when he ran shirtless in the rain after practice, setting the internet ablaze and giving his legion of followers something to discuss over dinner that night.

If there's anything to take out of this, however, it's that Tebow has yet another thing in common with Mark Sanchez.

The tally's now up to two.
