Tim Tebow just called into the media center at the Miami Dolphins facility here in Davie. Tebow, the Denver Broncos’ second-year quarterback, will be making his first start of the season on Sunday when the Dolphins host the Broncos.
Tebow’s start will coincide with the Dolphins’ “Gator Day” celebration, which will honor the University of Florida’s 2008 national championship team. The Gators won that championship, of course, against Oklahoma at Sun Life Stadium.
Tebow ended his collegiate career at Florida as one of the most decorated players in college football history. And as one of the most beloved athletes in state history (unless you’re from Tallahassee. I covered Florida State during most of Tebow’s time at Florida, and I can say Tebow is not too popular in the state capital).
Anyway, Tebow talked about a variety of topics with the South Florida media.
