The differences couldn’t have been more extreme. Joe Montana, owner of four Super Bowl rings, walked around radio row today without an entourage. It was just Joe and his media handler. While Montana went about his tour of the JW Marriott ballroom with the precision of an experienced pitchman, behind him was the radio row rookie, Tim Tebow, and throngs of followers trying to get close. Tebow’s first tour of radio row couldn’t have been any bigger of a circus created by us – the media.

With his brother never more than an arm length away, Tebow moved from an interview with Andy Fuhrmann, to ESPN New York, to NFL Network and then to the FoxSports.com set where he chatted about faith, how he’s handling the Super Bowl media circus and even what the experience was last night at an Indy restaurant.

According to those in attendance, Tebow and his crew rolled into Palomino restaurant last night for dinner and took photos with each table in the joint.

Fox Sports reporter Laura Okmin noted that there were layers of fans pressed against the restaurant window to get a glimpse of the cult hero.

jQuery(function($){$("a img.gallery-wall-fade").hover(function(){$(this).stop().animate({opacity:.5},{queue:false,duration:400});},function(){$(this).stop().animate({opacity:1},{queue:false,duration:400});});});

Meanwhile, today on radio row the fascination continued where men used to being surrounded by NFL legends, were in awe of Tebow. There were photo requests from TV hosts. Autographs, usually a complete buzzkill and no-no for media members, were requested. Tebow moved amongst the grown men with a smile on his face, nothing seeming to faze him in his journey to spread his word and promote the Tebow foundation.

After a few quick photos with a credentialed media member, Tebow’s brother, Robby, grabbed his arm and led him through a curtain hiding an exit through the JW Marriott ballroom kitchen. And that was the end of the circus. The media types went back to chatting with Montana, Joe Theismann and even Ryan Leaf who, we suppose, showed up to chat about football.
