Saints-quarterback-drew

For teams like the New Orleans Saints, the best strategy should be to select a first-or-second-round quarterback within the next year or two. Wait. What?!?! Drew Brees just signed a five-year, $100 million dollar contract. And, the Saints need help on defense NOW! may prevail as common opposition to such a belief. However, believing any team will fix an entire side of the ball (in this case, the defense) via the draft would be a mistake...Read More

  • Are you kidding me ? Did you see our defense this year? We need to focus on D period. It's beyond NOT TIME to draft a future QB dude. Sedrick Ellis is a free agent, and we're not keeping him. Under-achieving in a contract year is a "see ya later" certainty. We need to draft Sheldon Richardson (Mizzou) Yes, our secondary sucks, but no pressure on the QB exposes that. Freedom in the run gaps opens up the passing lanes. We need a run stuffer up front, and Will Smith needs to step up, or step out. Personally, I'd like to go to a 3/4 with Hicks, Jordan & Richardson up front and add Martez Wilson in the 4. Hawthorne, Lofton, Chamberlain. Our secondary sucks.... Keep Jenkins, replace every one else. Patrick Robinson especially. Belongs in the AFL. Hopefully, Goodell will give us back our 2nd round draft choice. It's not like we haven't served our repentance...Should 7& 9 without our head coach be enough penance ?
  • Brees is a loser. He ate it this year, he ate it in the playoffs last year, he'll eat it again.
