BuffaLowDown:
It seems as if Aaron Schobel’s playing days in Buffalo is over.
GM Buddy Nix made the following statement:
“Aaron has been contemplating retirement for the past seven months, but we are at the point where we are moving forward and have informed his agent of our plans. Aaron has been a very good player for the Bills and we wish him and his family the best, but there comes a point where we have to move forward and that point is today. We are focusing on the team’s best interests.”
This statement comes as a bit of a shock to Bills fans after hearing last week that Schobel was looking for a place to rent in Buffalo, which sparked rumors that Schobel would be rejoining the team.
Now that the Bills are moving on, it will be interesting to see if Schobel draws interest from other teams around the league. His intense pass rushing abilities will be missed, but this should sparked the younger Bills players to succeed in claiming his spot.
