Jim Harbaugh has found himself in the best, but possibly also the worst, situation for his team. I mean, what coach doesn’t want the choice between two talented and more than capable quarterbacks?  Nothing is worse than lacking a capable quarterback. So, having two who are must be a fantastic scenario. Only, some serious complications could rise from the fallen’s ashes. Alex Smith led the 49ers to within minutes of a Super Bowl berth a season ago, and looked to have them on the brink of another deep playoff run this season. He’s been the most accurate quarterback in football this season, completing 70 percent of his passes and throwing 13 touchdowns to just five interceptions, which is a better rate than basically every other quarterback hold for Tom Brady (24 and three), Robert Griffin III (16 and four)and Ben Roethlisberger (17 and four). So, Smith would be starting on let’s say roughly three quarters of the teams around the league right now. Yet, his own backup might have just sn...

Tom Brady Has Patriots’ Offense Rolling Right Now, But He Knows Better Than Anyone Winning in Miami is Never Easy

FOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots have been a dominant road team for over a decade now. But while most teams tend to roll over when Tom Brady and the Patriots come to town, the annual trip to Miami continues to be daunting. Over the course of the long-standing series, the Dolphins hold a staggering advantage when the Patriots take their talents to South Beach. The Patriots are just...

Harbaugh sticking with ‘hot hand’ Kaepernick

Jim Harbaugh announced today that Colin Kaepernick will start this week against the St Louis Rams. Harbaugh said that Colin, I believe has the hot hand and we’ll go with Colin. Of course he finished that sentence with, ‘and we’ll go with Alex. Both our guys.’ This really shouldn’t come as a surprise, the offense under Kaepernick just seems much more explosive. Regardless...

There Is A Reason Harbaugh Is Staying With Colin Kaepernick Harbaugh Wants A 49ers Super Bowl Berth

Some are stunned that Jim Harbaugh is sticking with Colin Kaepernick as the 49ers starter going forward, this kid brings a solid arm with the ability to run in the NFL to the table. The 49ers have done very well with Colin Kaepernick in their last two games. Smith was a good quarterback, Colin Kaepernick is a bit better. The kid is strong and seems to have the heart of a champion...

Colin Kaepernick’s Big Play Potential Fun to Watch, But 49ers’ Quarterback Controversy Not Worth Gamble

Jim Harbaugh already gambled in going with Colin Kaepernick over Alex Smith on Sunday. He now has to decide whether to let his winnings ride, although it might not be long before the 49ers head coach realizes the best course of action would have been to avoid the table completely. Kaepernick has shown in his two starts that he has the potential to be an electric player in the NFL...

Colts Fans versus Patriots Fans: Which Fan Base Is Better … and Luck or Brady, Who Ya Got?

The Indianapolis Colts have had a surprisingly strong season (well, unless you picked them to make the playoffs before the season started), and currently sit at 7-4 after this weekend’s win over Buffalo. The only real recent on-field downer for Indianapolis was the blowout loss to the Patriots. But it may not have been a total loss for the Colts, at least not if Indy fans were...

Harbaugh, 49ers juggling more than just quarterbacks?

In the NFL it’s often said that success is contagious.  Once a franchise taps into a winning formula, it’s used until the well runs dry.  This is the case for the San Francisco 49ers and head coach Jim Harbaugh in 2012. As everyone knows quarterback Alex Smith has seemingly been replaced as the Niners starting signal caller by the more elusive Colin Kaepernick.  In doing so...

Vernon Davis wants Alex Smith to start

San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh has yet to commit to either Colin Kaepernick or Alex Smith as the team's starting quarterback.  Tight end Vernon Davis thinks Alex Smith should be the one under center. "It's difficult, but I think Alex is still the man," Davis said after Kaepernick led the 49ers to a 31-21 victory over the New Orleans Saints. "In my...

Dolphins tasked with slowing down Tom Brady

DAVIE, Fla. Its probably not a good idea to compare your rookie quarterback to Tom Brady the week your team plays New England. Perhaps thats why Miami center Mike Pouncey played it coy on Wednesday when asked to expound upon having last month compared Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill to the Patriots star. I said that? Pouncey said before laughing. You sure? That a rookie reminded...

Where will Alex Smith play next year?

San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh named Colin Kaepernick the starter for the third week in a row. It looks as if he will continue as the full-time starter unless he is injured or takes a step back in his production. What will they do with Alex Smith? The trade deadline has passed and he is still a very valuable back up for this season. Kaepernick is a mobile and running...

Rob Gronkowski’s Tampa home (PICS)

You may have heard of the New England Patriots’ third-year tight end Rob Gronkowski.  What Tom Brady doesn’t own in the Boston-area, Gronk does.  But even Gronk needs a break from the tools that are Boston sports fans.  So he looked south, Tampa Florida to be exact and purchased a mansion pimp palace for $1.6 million. Gronk, his brothers and father have been patrolling Tampa...

49ers QBs still in limbo

Jim Harbaugh has watched each of his two quarterbacks lead the San Francisco 49ers to big wins in hostile, road environments - Alex Smith in the season opener at Green Bay's Lambeau Field back in September among others, and Colin Kaepernick on Sunday at the New Orleans Superdome. Which one gets the ball on Sunday when the 49ers travel to St. Louis? Harbaugh is still mum on that...
