It's only fitting. If only one player is going to even address the Aaron Hernandez situation, it's going to be Tom Brady, the leader of the team. Brady sat down with Sports Illustrated/MMQB's Peter King recently and gave his first public thoughts on the topic. MMQB: I’ve seen a lot of things over 13 years, and what I have learned is that mental toughness and putting aside personal agendas for what’s in the best interest of the team matters most. My job is to play quarterback, and I’m going to do that the best way I know how, because I owe that to my teammates regardless of who is out there on the field with me. I have moved on. I’m focusing on the great teammates I have who are committed to helping us win games. The only thing I care about is winning. Nothing is going to ever get in the way of that goal. I’m just excited to report to camp and see what we can accomplish as a team. The fate of our season will be determined by the players in our locker room—nothing else....

Tom Brady says he can play ‘beyond 40′

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady says he has simply “moved on” when asked for his reaction to the murder charge against his former tight end Aaron Henandez. “I’ve seen a lot of things over 13 years, and what I have learned is that mental toughness and putting aside personal agendas for what’s in the best interest of the team matters most,” Brady

New details emerge in Hernandez's violent life

These details state that Hernandez's mother had been stabbed by his stepfather after Hernandez had been drafted by the New England Patriots. When his father died following...

The Florida Gators Have Removed Aaron Hernandez’s All-American Brick

Yesterday, the judge in the Aaron Hernandez trial granted the prosecution more time to present evidence to the grand jury for its case that the former New England Patriots tight end at least “orchestrated” the murder of Odin Lloyd, or possibly did it himself. According to NBC News, Hernandez’s defense team tried to stop the extension in order to proceed with the probable cause...

USA Today still has high hopes for Patriots and Hernandez

It looks like USA Today didn't hear the news.  According to a tweet by ESPN's Adam Schefter, the newspaper's NFL 2013 preview issue still wasn't aware about the stories out of Boston concerning accused murderer Aaron Hernandez when they went to press last week. Maybe with all of the excitement about Tim Tebow coming to town and everything — the story got lost...

Tom Brady Wants to Play Beyond 40 Years Old, Even if It’s Not With Patriots

The Patriots may have their quarterback of the future already on the roster, and, no, it’s not Ryan Mallett or Tim Tebow. Tom Brady is the quarterback for now and, from what he told SI’s Peter King recently, his tenure with the team could go a lot farther than what many might expect. Brady, who will turn 36 in a few short weeks, signed a contract extension earlier this offseason...

Vince Wilfork Says Getting Back to Football ‘Can’t Come Any Sooner’ After Aaron Hernandez Situation

Vince Wilfork handled question after question about Aaron Hernandez like a true professional — not that anyone would expect anything different from the defensive tackle in his 10th season with the Patriots. When he said he felt sad and disappointed about the situation, you could feel that he truly meant those words. He stressed that Odin Lloyd‘s death and the investigation surrounding...

Bill Belichick offers little on Hernandez in press conference

There were many folks around the NFL and football circles in general that wondered what Bill Belichick would say about Aaron Hernandez in today’s press conference. Some speculated that the timing of the event suggested that Belichick would give us more than he usually does at such events. Those people, as it turned out, weren’t entirely wrong, but Bill Belichick certainly didn’t...

Patriots 2013 Game-by-Game Predictions

Time To Be AccountaBILL

Has anyone else used that god-awful headline yet? Sometimes I’m envious of the sports-radio host mentality. It must just be so awesome to sit in judgment, move goalposts and criticize an outcome no matter which way it goes. I loved Felger yesterday attempting to make the point that since all the Belichick toadies said he shouldn’t talk, that they should now be pissed at him because...
