Tom Brady obviously wants Wes Welker to return, but is it really a good idea? As much as he’s known for taking huge hits and making plays, the star wide receiver has become known for clutch drops at costly times. Welker came to New England in 2007 and quickly became a favorite with Brady and the fans; however, every relationship has to end. The Brady to Welker connection has come to an impasse with an end in sight, most likely with Welker parting ways with the Patriots. Brady talked about Welker and his importance to the team. "Everybody knows how I feel about Wes, our whole team feels that way about Wes," Brady said via Field Yates of ESPNBoston.com. "He's just one of the best players I've played with and played against. He's just a phenomenal player, and he's been the heart and soul of what our team is all about. He's been so selfless and the way that he carries himself and commits himself to help our team win, it's second to none. But like I said, those aren't my decisions." "I think those business parts of the game are -- those usually take care of themselves.” "Certainly I'm not involved in any of those." var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
