Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has a history of being a solid golf player. Prior to becoming the starting quarterback of the Cowboys there were some who thought Romo might have made a career in golf.
This weekend at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am the team of Romo and PGA player Jordan Speith are currently in the top-10.
“It was good to kind of get it going a little bit,” Romo told the Dallas Morning News. “It’s fun playing with Jordan. He’s playing so good, so it’s fun to be out there. He’s got everything you need. He’s got a real bright future. It’s a marathon not a sprint, and he’s going to be one of the good ones.”
Yahoo Sports notes the following:
Speith shot even par on Thursday, but Romo picked him up plenty of times as the team combined to post a round of 8-under 62. On Friday, Romo and Speith combined for a round of 7-under 65 thanks to five back-nine birdies from Romo on the harder Spyglass Hill.

Tony Romo and his playing partner had the lead heading into Sunday at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am but failed to hold on to it, finishing in third place.
New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan admits he was shocked that the Cowboys fired him after only one season. “Oh yeah, look, I was a little shocked,” Ryan said, per ESPNDallas.com. “I knew they had to do something after an 8-8 season. They choose me to be the guy, sure.” I was also shocked. I thought Ryan did a pretty good job for his first season with a new...
Let’s be honest, aside from DeMarco Murray, the Dallas Cowboys running back’s are pretty average. It’s time for them to make an upgrade and add another player or two in the draft or free agency.

Phillip Tanner and Lance Dunbar are both under contract and will remain in the mix. Tanner wasn’t used...
Emmitt Smith is an all time Dallas Cowboys great and has the pulse of everything Dallas. Smith was a guest on 105.3 KRLD-FM, and was asked about the criticism Cowboys starter Tony Romo gets.
Smith as honest as could be, said the criticism of Romo is unfair, and added Romo runs for his life.
I don’t think any of it is really fair, especially Tony Romo. Tony Romo is playing...
The Dallas Cowboys completed their 2013 coaching staff with the addition of former Cleveland Browns assistant Gary Brown, reports the Ft. Worth Star Telegram. Brown spent the last four seasons in Cleveland, and replaces Skip Peete.
You don’t need to read in between the lines with Rob Ryan, he’ll give it to you straight, no chaser.
Many feel Ryan got the raw end of the deal when he was fired by the Dallas Cowboys after going 8-8. Ryan implies that someone had to be the fall guy, fall on the sword so to speak.
Ryan didn’t seemed that bothered by it, he knew he’d get offers fast, but he does admit...
Washington Redskins linebacker London Fletcher took to Twitter to send a succinct message about what he thinks Cowboys fans living in D.C. should do.
Many people have been calling for Jason Garrett to be fired as the Dallas Cowboys’ head coach after only a 21-19 total record so far through his tenure.
