PLAYERS: Tony Romo
TEAMS: Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has a history of being a solid golf player. Prior to becoming the starting quarterback of the Cowboys there were some who thought Romo might have made a career in golf. This weekend at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am the team of Romo and PGA player Jordan Speith are currently in the top-10. “It was good to kind of get it going a little bit,” Romo told the Dallas Morning News. “It’s fun playing with Jordan. He’s playing so good, so it’s fun to be out there. He’s got everything you need. He’s got a real bright future. It’s a marathon not a sprint, and he’s going to be one of the good ones.” Yahoo Sports notes the following: Speith shot even par on Thursday, but Romo picked him up plenty of times as the team combined to post a round of 8-under 62. On Friday, Romo and Speith combined for a round of 7-under 65 thanks to five back-nine birdies from Romo on the harder Spyglass Hill.

Cowboys could address the running back position in the draft or free agency

Let’s be honest, aside from DeMarco Murray, the Dallas Cowboys running back’s are pretty average.  It’s time for them to make an upgrade and add another player or two in the draft or free agency.
