Found December 18, 2011 on Bucs Beat:
Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo had his way against the Bucs Saturday night, completing 23 of 30 passes for 249 yards and a three touchdowns. And the Bucs seemed incapable of doing anything about it. Romo consistently bought time in the pocket, eluding the very occasional pass rusher before finding one of the many open receivers he hit throughout the night. Bucs coach Raheem Morris said the Bucs didn't execute when it came to the keys to limiting the elusive Romo. "You have to four-man rush him and get after him," Morris said. "When you blitz him, he has the ability to leave the pocket, scramble, buy more time. We knew that was a problem right from the beginning. We tried to keep him out in front where you have rush lanes. "But when you get out of your rush lanes, bad things happen. He made some things happen and he made some plays on us. We have to have what we had on the first third down of the second half. We have to have (receivers) covered up in zone, you ...

A Christmas Miracle: Could Romo and The Cowboys Still Win NFC East?

In an odd twist of fate, Washington did their division rival Dallas a favor yesterday by beating New York, paving the way for Dallas to win the NFC East and head to the playoffs.  With only two more games left to play, can Tony Romo take his team to the postseason?   Yes, but not without winning both games.  Dallas have two tough games left, one against Philadelphia and one...

Romo plays well while pundits babble on

"Don't ever let the facts spoil a good story" - Mark Twain Why Mr. Twain originally offered that quote is up for debate, but the 2011 application of it seems to apply to the 2011 Dallas Cowboys story. Here are learned, wise NFL pundits talking each week about the Dallas Cowboys. And they go on and on discussing the inability of the Cowboys to take a season by the scruff...

Cowboys play with great sense of urgency in downing Bucs

Dallas Cowboys: Gave the Win and NFC East to the Giants

Early in Landrys' coaching career his ability was called into question. In Dallas there is a young head coach who was hired from another team where he served as a coordinator. This coach was once a player coach with the New York Giants. The Cowboys performance under this new coach was inconsistent at best. Cowboys’ fans called for his head constantly. They questioned all of...

Dallas 31, Tampa Bay 15: Miscues Don’t Completely Ruin Dominant First Half

The Cowboys should have spent Saturday evening celebrating. But a win is a win, right? This was going to be the game where the Cowboys played so flawlessly that I couldn’t get angry. When Dallas took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, I told my young son that Dallas would score 50 tonight. By the end of the second quarter, I was half-right. Dallas led 28-0 thanks to three Tony...
