PLAYERS: Tony Romo
TEAMS: Dallas Cowboys

Let's start with the obvious: when these Dallas and Washington teams met on Thanksgiving, the Cowboys were undermanned on offense. They had fill-ins working on the offensive line, lost Miles Austin early and were without DeMarco Murray. In the games final 20 minutes offense was hardly the problem as Dallas rallied to draw the game close but as Washington was pulling out to a 28-3 lead it was clear that Dallas was struggling when in possession of the football (and, clearly, on defense). At the end of many recent seasons Dallas' inability to win games when they matter most has been discussed frequently. Of course, the argument is not without merit - last year they failed in a similar situation against the eventual SuperBowl Champion New York Giants. Until recently this seemed to be the case; however, despite their loss to the Saints at home last week Dallas is playing some of their best football led by a quarterback whose December numbers are among the best in the league...

Romo Kills Cowboys Nation, Again

The season is over, and its the same story, different year. Tony Romo is never going to get the Cowboys to the Super Bowl. He cannot do it, he just cannot win the big games – he’s no good. Romo has been adequate, but he just keeps killing the team in playoff type games and in the playoffs. Heartbreaking. I can’t even believe this is how the season ended, what a waste. Moving...

Tony Romo Chokes vs. Redskins

Romo Will Never Not Choke It Away

Tony Romo had a great December until it was time to change his narrative. Three picks when he could have finally made something else of himself than a choking clownfraud. A streak of wins that would have at last instilled him in the minds of fans as something other than an abject failure when it counts. But is was all for naught. Good night, sweet price of Derpmania. The post Romo...

Cowboys needed more from Romo vs. 'Skins

That is how another Cowboys season ends. That is how 2012, like so many years before it, ends. A season that had plenty of things to like and plenty of things to not like, ends in tears on the final day of the season. Haven't we been here before? Several times? But, for some reason, this one feels a bit different to me than 2011. In 2011, I thought the Cowboys were overwhelmed...

Tony Romo: “I let the team down”

Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins: Three Bold Predictions

The hype that has already surrounded this match, you could be forgiven for thinking that there was something more than a division title up for grabs. Of course, throw in the added ingredient of one of pro sports most heated rivalries, and the fact that a playoff place is there for the winners, something that both franchises have been starved of in recent times, its easy to see...

Sunday Night Football: Battle for the Last Playoff Spot

For the first time in recent memory, the Sunday Night Football game this week is possibly the best game on the docket. Perhaps not because of the quality of the game it might be, but for what is at stake; the NFC East crown. Nice work with the whole “flex” schedule…finally. With the defending champion Giants pretty much having their season ended the past two weeks in Atlanta...
