I respect what Tony Romo is doing, but after year and years of mediocrity in Dallas (in terms of team success) I just don’t care.
He is the quarterback and the quarterback’s job is to lead by default, so take these comments with a grain of salt. Romo was talking about the Cowboys roster recently and let it be known that this is a special team.
“This is one of the most complete teams that I’ve been around,” he said, via Dan Hanzus of NFL.com.
“It’s going to be a very enjoyable football season.”
“I signed one when I first got into the league, and this is my third,” Romo said. “It’s a great thing that the team believes in you and they think you’re the guy that will take them where they want to go. It makes you work and get to a point where you can bring everybody a Super Bowl.”
I wonder how enjoyable the season will be if the Cowboys end up 8-8 again watching the playoffs at home.
Just go win, Romo. That’s the only thing that will silence the critics.
BEST OF MAXIM
Once again the Dallas Cowboys are slugging their way through a drama-filled offseason. The constant power struggle between Jerry Jones and Jason Garrett has been on national display and that has not made things easier. As the Cowboys prepare for the upcoming season, most critics are putting a ton of pressure on Tony Romo to perform while there are massive holes elsewhere in the...
Gavin Escobar-Courtesy of zimbio.com
The Cowboys once again plan to try to employ primarily two tight end sets after using their 2nd round pick on tight end Gavin Escobar to lineup on the other side of Jason Witten.
Coaches are hopeful that Escobar, a 6’6 251 pound talent, can contribute immediately in the receiving game with his height and ball catching ability. However, coaches...
Dallas Cowboys center Phil Costa, has come a long way since signing with the team as an undrafted free agent in 2010.
He has started 20 games for the team since that time, has established himself as a staple of the offensive line and now according to The Big Lead, he’s about to join wrestling royalty after proposing to Hulk Hogan’s daughter, Brooke, in Las Vegas last night...
Cowboys tight end Jason Witten isn't one to boast.
In fact, Witten's humble nature along with his considerable charitable contributions is one reason why he received the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award last season.
So it was probably more a matter of optimism and positive thinking when Witten made a rather bold prediction last Friday.
While being honored with Jason...
According to The Big Lead, Hulk Hogan’s daughter Brooke is marrying Dallas Cowboys center Phil Costa after he proposed to her in Las Vegas last night.
I could be wrong, but I get the feeling their marriage won’t last long. I get that impression by looking at them as a couple. I certainly wish them the best.

According to Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com, Cowboys rookie running back Joseph Randle will have the cast on his thumb removed as soon as his doctor comes back from vacation. #Cowboys RB Joseph Randle said cast on his injured thumb will be coming off imminently. Would be off already but doctor went on vacation — Alex Marvez (@alexmarvez) June 28, 2013 The good news is that Randle...
Carr (39) and Claiborne (24) Courtesy of Sports Illustrated
Last season the Cowboys went out and signed Brandon Carr to a huge free agent contract, and moved up to draft Morris Claiborne so they would be better suited to play man coverage, bolstering the corner position.
For the upcoming 2013 season, the Cowboys have brought in Cover 2 expert Monte Kiffin. Although one of the better...
@AdamSchefter: Cowboys DT Josh Brent booked into Dallas’ Lew Sterrett Justice Center on Thursday after another positive drug test.
This does not bode well for the massive Defensive Tackle.
Even though defensive tackle Josh Brent is back in jail for failing a second drug test, the Dallas Cowboys don’t plan on cutting him, according to Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
They are waiting for nfl to suspend josh Brent . No plans to cut him

I still don’t understand why the Cowboys are holding onto Brent...
Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Josh Brent still remains a Cowboy after failing yet another drug test. He was sent back to jail Thursday after the test detected another positive for marijuana, having also failed a test earlier this month as he awaits his trial for the car accident that killed teammate Jerry Brown.
The Cowboys are reportedly sticking by their man, and will likely...

As if Tim Tebow couldn't be more polarizing, he recently admitted to being a Dallas Cowboys fan.
If that's unsettling news to you, blame Emmitt Smith.
Tebow recently confessed his affection for the Cowboys during a recent public speech. He became a fan because Smith, a former Florida Gator great, was also a Cowboy.
"I was actually a Dallas Cowboys fan," Tebow...
Being a lineman in the NFL is tough. Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Phil Costa knows all about that since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2010. Next to the Jets and now Patriots there probably isn't another team that is under as much scrutiny as the Cowboys making the job even tougher.
Costa may have just asked for the challenge of a lifetime though--the...
Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Phil Costa and the daughter of Hulk Hogan have gotten engaged. Costa, who joined the Cowboys in 2010, and Brooke Hogan got engaged on Friday night in Las Vegas.
With the Cowboys drafting Travis Frederick the team may move Costa to guard.
According to WFAA-TV's Eric Valadez, through his Twitter, the Cowboys' Josh Brent failed a second drug test while waiting for bond to be revoked for 1st violation...
