According to ESPNDallas.com, even though the Cowboys held out quarterback Tony Romo from this week’s minicamp, he still allowed him to throw a few passes to his receivers on the side. He wasn’t in a helmet, nor did it come during live drills, but Tony Romo threw passes for the first time in media view on the final day of the Cowboys’ minicamp.   Romo went through a series of end-zone throws to wide receivers Miles Austin and Dez Bryant as the bulk of the roster went through special teams’ drills Thursday. Romo had a cyst removed from his back in mid-April and did not take part in any of the organized team activities or minicamp. Earlier in the week, he said he would be full-go next week after kicking up his conditioning work last week. In May, Romo said he would throw to receivers, tight ends and backs after the minicamp in hopes of catching up after missing so much time. The formal offseason conditioning program for the veterans is over, however, the players can continue to work out on their own. The rookies have another two weeks of work before their offseason commitments are over. Romo is expected to be ready for the Cowboys first training camp practice is on July 21st. . Need NFL Tickets?
