Since the Jaguars started play in the NFL in 1995 the team has seen its fair share of ups and downs. The team has also seen its share of great players over those 16 years.
Top ten lists get thrown around a lot these days and well with a lock out in full effect I’m no different as I’m going to give my take on the ten best Jaguars to play over the years. It’s going be a list that everyone has an opinion on and while you may disagree with it, it will give you a good look into the past at these Jaguars greats. Without further ado here is the number ten Jaguar of all time:
10. Keenan McCardell WR
Stats: 6 seasons, 93 starts in 95 games, 499 receptions for 6393 yards and 30 touchdowns.
McCardell contributed 190 career points for the team over his 6 years. He also had 4 of his 5 career 1000 yard receiving seasons while with the Jags. Keenan was part of a great receiving tandem in the 1990’s with the Jaguars with Jimmy Smith. McCardell’s career high in receiving yards came in 2000 with the Jaguars when he had 1207 yards, on career high 94 receptions and also had 5 touchdowns. Keenan helped the Jags to two AFC Championship games in 1996 and 1999. He was selected to the 1996 Pro Bowl and while he never won a super bowl with the Jags his time in Jacksonville will definitely be remember as some of the best years of his career.
Only time will tell if Keenan keeps his spot on this list as more players come through the ranks. You never know who could wind up on this list next, but you’re going to have to wait to see who lands at number 9 and the answer is sure to surprise. This should prove to be a fun few days as I unveil my take on this list of all time Jaguar greats.
