Don’t want to hurry back Juan…
Richardson was benched in the second half of last week’s game due to his inability to play at his normal high level. The Browns knowing he is the key to their offense may choose to shut him down till after their bye week.
Ed Werder had this to say:
“The team (is) now discussing whether to hold [Richardson] out through the bye week to allow him to heal. The fear that if they don’t, he’ll be debilitated by his injury all year long. There’s internal conflict about shutting him down, though, because Pat Shurmur, the coach, has to win some games here. They’ve only got one victory and Jimmy Haslem, the new owner, says he wants a stronger finish if he’s going to bring back the coaching staff.”
This is obviously the time to grab Hardesty if you own Richardson and/or need a RB. He should fill in nicely during the bye weeks, but like Jennings is a step down in talent.
