Turns Out, Jon Kitna Can Still Ball

In previous years when Tony Romo went down, the Dallas Cowboys were up a creek without a paddle.Brad Johnson was not a capable NFL backup quarterback when he was here. Romo went down and the running plays and screen passes flowed freely.Luckily, Tony Romo was healthy all year last season and Kitna didn't have to make a meaningful appearance.This year? Not so much.Kitna's had his fair share of struggles since Romo went down in the first Giants meeting, but none that any backup QB wouldn't have.In the last two weeks, however, Kitna has been basically, well, great.Kitna has been a successful starter in his career.
