Patriots lock up first round draft pick Chandler Jones. Good news and I have to say I am very much enjoying the lack of rookie signing drama across the league this year.  Just not sold on the 95 number selection. Yet. If it’s even permanent. Only Hightower (see above, as well as at OTAs this week) and Bequette remain unsigned.

Patriots’ Ras-I Dowling still doesn’t look 100%

Dowling has barely played in the last 2 seasons because of injury, dating back to his senior season in college at Virginia in 2010. Injury concerns are what dropped him to the 2nd round of the 2011 NFL Draft, where the Patriots took a chance on him. After getting next to nothing from him in 2011, the Patriots are hoping that Dowling can be their nickel cornerback behind Devin McCourty...

Ron Brace could be done for the Patriots

Once a 2nd round pick in 2009, Ron Brace is now on the roster bubble for the Patriots. A 330 pound defensive tackle, Brace has just 35 tackles, 3 for loss, and 1 forced fumble in 3 seasons and could be behind Vince Wilfork, Kyle Love, Brandon Deaderick, Myron Pryor, and Gerard Warren on the depth chart at defensive tackle. He’s facing an uphill battle to stay on the roster. He...

Tom Brady’s Dad Questions If He’d Let His Son Play Football

Could one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time never have been? Well, Tom Brady’s father commented on concussions and the dangers that have been brought to light the last couple seasons. Tom Brady’s father said that he’s not sure if he would have let his son play football if knew then what he knows now. Brady Sr. told Michael Silver of Yahoo! Sports: “No, not without...

Getty Images According to Mike Reiss of, the New England Patriots have signed first round pick Chandler Jones. The Patriots drafted Jones in hopes that he’ll be able to come in and be a difference maker as a pass rusher, since they had a hard time getting to the quarterback in 2011. The Patriots have only two more draft picks to sign.  Both Dont’a Hightower (1st...

Patriots have five of the Top 100 players in the NFL - four in top 50

CBS's Pete Prisco has come out with his annual list of top 100 NFL players and it holds five members of the New England Patriots, four of whom fall in the top 50. Unsurprisingly, the top Patriot is quarterback Tom Brady, who fell a spot after been tied for first with Payton Manning last year. Brady is now second to Aaron Rodgers. Prisco says there is no sign of Brady slowing...
