Found November 12, 2012 on NESN.com:
The current New England defense is a far cry from the unit Ty Law was a part of for 10 seasons, and the former Patriots cornerback can’t find anything to be encouraged about. Law discussed the Pats’ defensive woes during CSNNE’s postgame coverage and was very honest in his analysis, calling out the unit after it was torched by Buffalo for 481 yards. “The Patriots, they finished the game, they won. But overall that was not a great performance by the team. I think Buffalo outplayed them,” Law said. “Take away a few of those penalties and we would see another score right now. The Patriots’ defense is still atrocious. They are terrible. You can’t say anything good about them at this point.” Perhaps Law is right. Despite the Patriots walking away with a 37-31 win on Sunday, the defense continues to struggle, with former New England wide receiver Troy Brown going as far as to call the unit “pitiful.” Other than the upcoming addition of cornerback Aqib Talib, there might not be a solution ...

Tom Brady Says Danny Woodhead Has Always Had Patriots Asking, ‘Why Did the Jets Release That Guy?’

Patriots fans have become accustomed to the sight of Danny Woodhead emerging from the backfield and breaking into the clear for big gains, but even many of them were amazed just how open he was Sunday against the Bills. Woodhead scored on two big plays to keep the Patriots ahead, once again appearing to get lost in the defensive shuffle long enough to do some serious damage. While...

Kevin Faulk Gets Mic’d Up For Sunday’s Ceremony at Gillette Stadium (Video)

Robert Kraft had some kind words for Kevin Faulk on Sunday when the Patriots honored their former running back at halftime. As the two Patriots legends walked out to midfield for Faulk’s ceremony, Kraft told Faulk that he loved him. After Faulk’s speech, Kraft even told him that he could run for office. Patriots veering away from sets with two tight ends

It wasn't long after the New England Patriots drafted two top-flight tight ends in the second and fourth rounds of the 2010 draft that we saw the terrific advantages this gave the Pats on the offensive end of the football. Their two-TE sets were seemingly impossible for defenses to stop as Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez were too big for cornerbacks and too quick for linebackers...

Broncos Von Miller breaks out “safety dance” on Cam Newton

Broncos Von Miller made a promise last week that when he sacked Panthers QB Cam Newton he would do Cam’s Superman move in celebration. Somewhere along the way Von abandoned those plans- possibly because he wasn’t credited with the safety- and instead busted out this little move in celebration. I wonder if he had [...]

Just What Is A “Produced” Touchdown?

This drab little note in Peter King’s Monday Morning Quarterback column this week has provided considerable fodder for the likes of Felger of Mazz. Opposing passers have produced more touchdowns than Tom Brady, 19-18. This is just a weird sentence. “Produced more touchdowns?” What is the definition he’s using here?  Solely passing TD’s? If we’re going by strictly ...

Ways Bill Parcells' recent comments sound like those of a Patriots homer

Bill Parcells hasn't been a part of the New England Patriots organization since 1996, but when asked about the state of the Pats on Monday he had some very optimistic comments about the team and his old pal head coach Bill Belichick. Maybe Parcells was just trying to be positive to not ruffle any feathers, but some of the things he said highly resemble what many of us hear from...

Buffalo Bills Lose to New England Patriots: Hero and Zero of the Game

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots sit comfortably atop the AFC East after edging the Buffalo Bills 37-31 in a Week 10 matchup between division rivals. And I just have to say that the Patriots seem determined to give Patriot Nation a collective aneurysm with games that shouldn't be as close as they are.New England had a golden opportunity to put the game out of reach twice...

Manning moves past Marino in win

Manning threw his 420th touchdown pass to move into a tie for second place on the NFL's all-time list with Dan Marino. He trails only Brett Favre (508). Manning had plenty of help from...

Devin McCourty’s Knack for Game-Changing Turnovers Makes Him a Desired Playmaker in Patriot Secondary

FOXBORO, Mass. — Earlier this season, Devin McCourty felt the ire of Patriots nation. Every move he made, every play he was on the field — which was almost all of them — the watchful eye of Patriots fans everywhere was scrutinizing him. That extreme examination hasn’t subsided completely, but each week McCourty has slowly chipped away at the negative perception surrounding...

Tweet   Last week Von Miller said he hoped to get a chance to do Cam Newton’s “Superman” celebration when his Broncos met the the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
