Pro Sports Daily:
With Tony Romo back on the field for the first time since undergoing back surgery in April, the first practice of the Cowboys’ 2013 training camp had all the markings of a feel-good event for the club.
But that was before defensive end Tyrone Crawford was carted off the field Sunday afternoon with what the club fears is a season-ending torn Achilles’ tendon.
A 2011 third-round pick from Boise State, Crawford suffered the injury in a non-contact drill less than an hour into the first practice of camp.
“This is part of our game, but it’s disappointing because Crawford was probably our top young defensive lineman,” Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said.
In finishing 8-8 and out of the playoffs a third straight season last year, Dallas lost 71 games by starters because of injury. Five defensive starters finished the season on injured reserve, including Church.
Now it already looks like the team could be headed toward another injury-plagued season. In addition to Crawf...
BEST OF MAXIM
According to Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com, Cowboys defensive end Tyrone Crawford was carted off the field during practice today. He seemed to be very upset and was holding Achilles.
Tyrone Crawford is hurt during individual drills. Fell awkwardly as went thru dummies. Looks like they r looking at Achilles. Cart on way.

Earlier today there was a lot made about Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo being listed 236 pounds, his heaviest since entering the league back in 2003.
Romo down played the weight gain, saying that the figure wasn’t too accurate. He would go on to say that he normally weighs between 227 and 230 lbs. depending on the day. Others like head coach Jason Garrett also down played...
OXNARD, Calif. -- The Dallas Cowboys are being suspiciously coy in their discussions about the weight of quarterback Tony Romo, whose listed weight of 236 pounds is six pounds heavier than his official weight from a year ago and 17 pounds heavier than the 219 he was listed at earlier in his career.
"I don't want to get into the details of what his playing weight is supposed...
Tony Romo was waiting in California when the Dallas Cowboys arrived for training camp.
Romo, who didn't take a real snap in offseason workouts after signing the richest contract in franchise history, finally returned for the first training camp practices Sunday after ''uniquely running mountains'' on the West Coast.
That's how owner Jerry Jones described...

Dallas Cowboys: Tyrone Crawford DL- Crawford is a versatile defensive lineman that has been buried in the Cowboys depth chart. With those vets beginning to age it is time to see if the 2012 third round draft pick can begin to get more playing in preparation to hopefully one day succeed them.

Yesterday social media and the Cowboys haters and lovers around the world were in an uproar over the news that Tony Romo reported to camp weighting 236 pounds.

This is the fifth in my ongoing series reviewing the Dallas Cowboy’s roster position by position.
Tony Romo: No-brainer at this position. But as always, Romo enters the season striving to meet expectations that have yet to be fulfilled, despite finishing up his fourth 4,000-yard passing season in the last six years. (One of those two years he missed...
Tony Romo isn’t fat, but he has put on a few extra pounds.
The star quarterback showed up at Cowboys camp on Sunday, weighing just a little bit heavier than in past seasons in this year’s media guide. The team listed Romo at 236 pounds on this year’s camp weigh-in, six pounds heavier than last season.
Romo entered the 2012 season at 230 pounds, which at the time was also the...

We don't expect for the first team, especially offensive stars, on the field for very long. But that's no reason to skip preseason games. There are quite a few that will give us a good show; and some position battles are sure to shake out as the four otherwise meaningless games give each team a chance to prepare for the real thing.I'll just jump right in to my first choice...
