Pro Football Zone:
Seahawks rookie running back Christine Michael got plenty of opportunity, carrying the ball 16 times for 89 yards as well as returning kickoffs. Rookie tight end Luke Willson got his fair share of reps playing with the first team offense. Other drafted rookies Ty Powell, Spencer Ware, and Michael Bowie also got significant playing time.
But while all of these players were drafted, undrafted rookie free agents (UDFAs) Alvin Bailey out of Arkansas and Benson Mayowa from Idaho were two of the best players on the field on Thursday night for the Seattle Seahawks.
While there aren’t many tangible statistics for offensive linemen, offensive tackle Alvin Bailey dominated in both pass protection and in run blocking. He did not give up any sacks, and played just about as good of a game as a left tackle can play. Many won’t notice Bailey’s fantastic game since the offensive line isn’t normally a point of a typical fan’s attention (I actually had to watch the game over again before I saw the tr...

A number of designers have taken their shot at redesigning the Seattle Seahawks’ helmets and uniforms to their liking.
Could you imagine Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch, or Golden Tate wearing something like this?
Featured are a number of Seattle Seahawks’ concepts. Some are interesting options that fans may like and others may strike a nerve with some fans.
Seahawks rookie running back Christine Michael looked good in Thursday night’s preseason opener against the Chargers. Michael got his share of opportunities in Seattle’s 31-10 win over the San Diego Chargers. He ran six times for 21 yards in the first half. In the second half, he turned it up a notch, carrying 10 times for 66 yards — including a 24-yard run — for a total...
The Seattle Seahawks kicked off the 2013 season in earnest when they opened training camp on July 25th. Since then, the Seahawks personnel department and trainers have been quite busy. Here is a quick look at who’s in and who’s out at Seahawks training camp.
Out: Percy Harvin
The $67 million dollar man had surgery on his hip last Thursday and remains out for at least...
Seattle Seahawks RB Christine Michaels has been making a lot of noise at training camp, and coach Pete Carroll and his staff wanted to put him to the test. Michael got his share of touches in Seattle’s 31-10 win over the San Diego Chargers.
Let There be Depth!
I don’t care that for the most part I was watching second and third string players. I don’t care that this game meant absolutely nothing. It was Seattle Seahawks football, and for the first time in over six months it graced the screen of my dirty, dust-covered television.
The Seahawks kicked off their preseason last night with a week 1 romping...
A nice showing from Seahawks No. 3 running back, rookie Christine Michael, in the preseason opener - 16 carries for 89 yards.Fantasy Spin:Unless Marshawn Lynch gets hurt or has more legal issues, Michael shouldn't have much fantasy value this season, but keeper league owners should keep an eye on him and he could give backup Robert Turbin a run for his money.
Fight To The Death
Going into the week one preseason match up between the Seattle Seahawks and the San Diego Chargers, an important position battle is on the line that has gotten very little media play.
What happens if Russell Wilson goes down?
For a team with Super Bowl aspirations, and an offensive attack that can lead to a few hits on the franchise quarterback, the need to have...
Even though it was an exhibition opener, the Seattle Seahawks looked like a team worthy of big expectations.
And the San Diego Chargers? Well, they looked like the same old Chargers.
Tarvaris Jackson threw two touchdown passes and Brady Quinn, also battling to be Russell Wilson's backup, threw for another score as the Seahawks beat San Diego 31-10 Thursday night in Mike McCoy...
Earlier this week I dropped my Fantasy Forecast for the NFC East, and today we move onto the NFC West. This division is going to be known more for its defense than its offense as it houses two of the top defensive teams in the league in the Seahawks and the 49ers. The Rams and the Cardinals are moving up in defensive talent as well, and don’t forget that they bottomed out the top...
The Seattle Seahawks have beat the San Diego Chargers 31-10 in their first preseason game.
In a game that ultimately means nothing at the end of the season, there was some good things to take away from this game. Philip Rivers finally looked comfortable in an improved offensive line. Unfortunately for the Chargers, there isn’t much depth behind the starting five offensive linemen...
Even though it was an exhibition opener, the Seattle Seahawks looked like a team worthy of big expectations. And the San Diego Chargers? Well, except for a nice opening drive, they looked like the same old Chargers.
In case you’re in the need of an update on a meaningless game, the San Diego Chargers are trailing the Seattle Seahawks 7-3 at halftime.
Here’s a couple observations:
The Seahawks defensive backs were very physical with the Chargers’ receivers despite it being a preseason game. It could have something to do with the fact that the Seahawks’ secondary gave up 40 yards on Philip...
