Art imitates life in Tom Brady’s newest UGG for Men commercial for the Holiday season. The company heard about Brady’s tradition of buying the brand’s Ascot slippers for his offensive line. And after making it to the Super Bowl last season, the UGG for Men ambassador gifted all of his teammates with the footwear. UGG used this as the basis for their newest commercial titled “The Pink Slip.” The spot features a rookie player anxiously walking to his locker in search of his football fate. Instead of finding the dreaded pink slip, he finds a new box of UGG for Men Ascot slippers. Tom shows up to congratulate him, giving the rookie the answer he had hoped for. “The concept behind the ‘Pink Slip’ comes from an authentic tradition that Tom had even before working with UGG,” says Connie Rishwain, President, UGG Australia. “What better way to highlight this moment through the holidays, tying it into the themes of teamwork and thanksgiving.” Brady has admitted to being a long-time fan of the brand and more specifically the Ascot, which is available here. The slipper retails for $110 and features a suede exterior with the company’s famous sheepskin lining. “When I’m at home, I’m always in my Ascots. My kids have them,” Brady said.
