In his last seven games, San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis has certainly struggled.
With just six catches for 61 yards and no touchdowns, one could understand why the tight end might be frustrated with his play.
He elaborated via the Associated Press.
“It is a different feeling for me because it’s been a tough season as far as just the feeling of being involved,” said Davis.
“To me, it’s not a bad thing, because it’s something I had to get used to this year. Each and every season in the past, I’m used to helping the team in ways where I’m just catching balls and things like that. This year’s been a little bit different. It just feels different going into these playoffs, as far as my role and things like that. It’s not a bad thing, I’m not mad at it. That’s just how it is sometimes. It takes a little getting used to.”
The 49ers will need all hands on deck with their upcoming playoff match-up with the Green Bay Packers.
Davis need not focus on the past, but make sure he is completely focused on helping his team in whatever way he can.

49ers' Crabtree fixed on redemption
49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree has a bad taste in his mouth. It's there as a result of the way his -- and the 49ers' -- 2012 season ended. One catch, three yards and a disappointing loss to the New York Giants in the NFC Championship Game. With a chance for redemption Saturday against Green Bay, Crabtree's focus is on one thing. "I'm really focused...

Packers aim to match 49ers' physicality
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The physicality of the San Francisco 49ers cannot be questioned. With a defense that ranked second this season in points allowed and third in yards allowed, the 49ers have one of the NFL's elite groups.

NFC Divisional Round: Packers @ 49ers Preview & Prediction
As the divisional round of the playoffs liftoff this Saturday evening, we’ll be getting the exact match up I thought we would a few weeks ago; only the venue will be different.
