During tonight's Monday Night Football preseason game between the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots, Eagles head coach Andy Reid ended up getting into a shouting match with defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins on the sideline.
The Philadelphia Inquirer has the following report:
Andy Reid uncharacteristically got into a verbal back and forth with one of his players when he jawed with Cullen Jenkins on the sideline during the second quarter of tonight's preseason game against the Patriots.
The argument was caught by ESPN cameras. Reid said something to Jenkins and the defensive tackle appeared to say something in return to his head coach. Defensive line coach Jim Washburn then stepped in between the two. Reid then yelled at Washburn.
The Eagles had just allowed the Patriots to score a touchdown after they went 80 yards in 13 plays. A Ryan Mallett 7-yard TD pass to tight end Alex Silvestro ended the drive.
Looks like Reid has his team on the right track heading into the season.

"Clearly I remember picking on the boy... But we unleashed a Lion..."Andy Reid is my head coach again---it took maybe 20 seconds of a sideline rant directed at his own team to make me believe in his leadership of this 2012 Eagles edition. I thought it was necessary and therapeutic for the players, too. They needed a wakeup call from the Man. They got one. Andy's back...
Easily, the most entertaining part of the game for me. Never seen Andy like that before. Not sure if that’s good or bad, but this might be the worst preseason I have ever experienced as an Eagles fan.

For the first time in a long time, there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of buzz surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles heading into the 2012 NFL season. The entirety of the offseason talk around this team has centered around Michael Vick’s overblown “dynasty” comment and the heart-sick death of Andy Reid’s son, Garrett.
