Stay classy, Stevie Johnson. The young wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills mocked Plaxico Burress after scoring a touchdown against the New York Jets by pretending to shoot himself in the thigh. As you remember, Plaxico Burress was arrested and served jail time after shooting himself in the leg back in 2008.
Stevie Johnson’s celebration got him flagged for excessive celebration, a 15-yard penalty. It also apparently amped the Jets, who came back to win by a final score of 28-24.
While I can appreciate a good touchdown celebration, going after Plaxico Burress for no apparent reason isn’t cool. Plaxico Burress has served his time, let him be.
