The Minnesota Vikings have some tough decisions to make at the quarterback position this offseason, but ultimately their best option could be to stick with the player they invested a first-round draft pick in just four years ago.

In an appearance on PFT Live Tuesday morning, Vikings linebacker Lance Kendricks spoke about how sharp Bridgewater looked in practice this season after he finally returned from a gruesome knee injury. Kendricks said Bridgewater was “throwing dimes on us.”

“When I know when a route’s coming and I’m practicing against him and I feel like I’m in a perfect position to guard it and Teddy puts a ball in the outside corner, and he completes it on me in practice where I get frustrated and I’m talking about it the rest of the practice, I can say that man can definitely still play, absolutely,” Kendricks said.

Case Keenum, who led the Vikings to the NFC Championship Game and exceeded expectations all year, finished his season on a sour note with two interceptions in a blowout loss against the Philadelphia Eagles. He, like Bridgewater and Sam Bradford, is scheduled to become a free agent.

There’s a chance the Vikings could use the franchise tag on one of the aforementioned quarterbacks while signing another to a long-term deal, but the situation is a complicated one. Bridgewater recently made his intentions for 2018 clear, and you have to imagine Keenum and Bradford have similar thoughts to his. Something has to give.
