Minnesota Vikings interim head coach Leslie Frazier announced the team will sign running back Lorenzo Booker on Monday. A third-round pick (71st overall) out of Florida State by the Miami Dolphins in 2007, Booker (5-10, 191) has 48 carries for 178 yards and 34 receptions for 248 yards in 17 games with the Dolphins (2007) and Philadelphia Eagles (2009). Booker spent 2009 out of football before signing with the Hartford Colonials for the 2010 season. No word on the corresponding transaction to add Booker, who has familiarity with the Vikings' offense and could contribute in the passing game.
