The Minnesota Vikings have suspend special teams coordinator Mike Priefer three games for inappropriate conduct following an investigation into allegations made by former punter Chris Kluwe, reports Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk. According to Florio, the suspension can be reduced to two games if Priefer completes sensitivity training. The Vikings also will make a $100,000 donation to LGBT causes, reports Tom Pelissero of USA Today Sports.   Kluwe and his attorney, Clayton Halunen, plan to file a lawsuit against the Vikings next week after negotiations on a settlement broke down on Friday. Kluwe wants the Vikings to release a full copy of an independent investigation into the punter’s claims that Priefer made homophobic remarks during the 2012 season and that Kluwe was released by the team in May 2013 for his support of same-sex

  • I don't think it was necessary to donate "100,000 to LGBT causes." Just exactly what would those be? Seems like this is between Kluwe and Priefer...and probably the team because they were both employees. If Kluwe had said disparaging things about Priefer, would the team donate 100,000 to straight causes? Why? When I think of all the bad things that have been said to me in moments of vulnerability and how I've had to shake them off and move along...Apparently Kluwe is a chickenshlt. If every LGBT boycotts the vikings, I doubt if they would lose 100,000 of income.
