Found December 14, 2011 on Fox Sports North:
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Jim Kleinsasser has spent his entire 13-year career with the Minnesota Vikings after being a second-round pick in 1999. Kleinsasser has witnessed some extreme ups-and-downs during his career, but, like the rest of the 2011 Vikings, he doesn't have much interest in having his name be part of the lowest of lows in franchise history. At 2-11 with three games remaining, Minnesota is dangerously close to setting a team record for fewest wins in a 16-game schedule, which was set in 1984 when the Vikings finished 3-13 in Les Steckel's lone season as head coach. When his playing career is done, Kleinsasser figures he might stay in the Twin Cities. He hopes living in infamy isn't part of his post-playing days. "This is mythirteenth year," said Kleinsasser, the longest-tenured member of the team. "I'm going to be living here. I think it's fairly important that my name isn't a part of that. I think this team, each guy to a man is...

Harvin seeks more touches on special teams

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Percy Harvin wasn't waiting until the Minnesota Vikings returned home. He wanted to make his feelings known well before the team's plane touched down in the Twin Cities. Harvin is as competitive as anyone on the Vikings and Sunday's 34-28 loss at Detroit wasn't sitting well with the multi-talented offensive threat. So, Harvin started lobbying...

Warcraft Wednesday: Some Light Reading for the Team

JEEZE, OK dude, we get it; you're The Brains, we're the Dick Joke!Seen here is what Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe brought with him on his trip to Detroit for some "light" reading. That first book there, "Chemistry: Concepts and Problems" looks like a pretty legitimate brain buster. Probably got some real nuggets of wisdom in that thick, spine-glued...

Week 15: Saints vs. Jared Allen

When the Saints take on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, I want them to send a message. I want their win to be decisive and convincing so that teams like the Falcons, 49ers and even the almighty Packers sit up and take notice. But I also want them to send a more personal, pointed message to one Vikings player in particular: Defensive end Jared Allen. In case you missed, it, Allen...

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson said he plans to play Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

Frazier: Ponder wasn't benched

Cullen Loeffler named to USA Football's All-Fundamentals Team

Big honors for the Vikings long snapper.

DeAngelo Williams is tired of getting tackled by his dreadlocks

DeAngelo Williams is having a relatively quiet year for the Panthers. His yardage might be a little bit better if he didn’t keep getting tackled from behind when a defender grabs his dreadlocks. It’s happened at least twice, including last week against Atlanta. Williams learned that it can be legal. “I actually learned something about…

Adrian Peterson, Christian Ponder may start against the New Orleans Saints

Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (Source: The New Orleans Saints are enjoying a five game winning streak — beating the Buccaneers, Falcons, Giants, Lions, and Titans — with four of these five teams currently in playoff contention. The Saints future is bright, and next up are the struggling Minnesota Vikings. … [visit site to read more] Adrian Peterson, Christian...

Saints Nation: Q&A With Vikings Blog - Purple Jesus Diaries

Let's get one thing out of the way to avoid confusion first: Purple Jesus = Adrian Peterson. I'm not sure if that's a fanwide Viking Nation accepted term or if this site started it, but just wanted to clear up any confused souls out there. This week I have the honor of presenting a Q&A with a blogger who's name I still don't know to this day. He simply goes...
