There are two ways of looking at this.

Maybe VY just having a bad day and wanted to retweet someone who was making a terrible comparison, but was supporting him or VY really believes this.

If it is the former I get it, if it is the latter then you have your answer as to why he isn’t playing currently in the NFL.

I know all my haters are happy that I’m not playing football right now but you will eat words……..#trill

Vince Young is more talented that a lot of the backup quarterbacks and maybe even a few of the starting quarterbacks in the NFL.

But, you would think by now he would know it isn’t all about talent and athletic ability, it is much more than that. While I do believe in a few instances Young has been treated unfairly, in the majority of instances his actions has been the reason for his downfall.

Until he accepts the responsibility for that and stop believing he has been railroaded he won’t step foot on a NFL field again.

The underlying message that because Young is black and Peyton is white he wasn’t afforded the same opportunities to make the same type of mistakes, is just stupid.

I mean really comparing yourself to Peyton Manning?

He could have at least used Ryan Fitzpatrick or Kevin Kolb, but Peyton Manning? Don’t give more credence that the Wonderlic test is an accurate assessment of one’s intelligence.

Just stop.

Vince Young explains financial woes

Former NFL quarterback Vince Young is downplaying what he calls ''unfortunate'' financial problems caused by the ''betrayal'' of trusted advisers. ''Yes, I need a job, who doesn't. Yes, I want to be out there playing the game I love and earning a paycheck, who wouldn't?'' Young wrote on his Twitter account Wednesday. Young...

After only two games, it is evident the Peyton Manning story in Denver will end as a nightmare

Peyton Manning’s apparent lack of confidence and arm strength have been debated since the future Hall of Fame quarterback struggled mightily in the Denver Broncos 27-21 loss to the Falcons on Sunday at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Against the … Continue reading →

NFL Rumors: QB Vince Young heading to the CFL?

Vince Young, a former number three overall selection in the 2006 NFL draft is unemployed. It seems that no team in the NFL is even remotely interested in adding him to their roster as even a number three quarterback. Reports suggest, that even after securing a nearly $26 million dollar signing bonus, six years later, he is now broke. Could Vince Young be headed to the CFL in the...

Vince Young out of NFL, out of money

Six years after entering the NFL as the third player taken in the draft, Vince Young finds himself without a team and with just a fraction of the money he received from a contract that guaranteed him $26 million. The question is, where did it all go? In an increasingly caustic war of words, attorneys have been arguing for months over whether Young is an out-of-control spender who...

Peyton Manning addresses arm strength with quote popularized by Popeye (vid)

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning said that players in Denver Broncos offense are still in the process of getting to know each other and “all continue to learn” as he discussed the substandard offensive output — at least for an offense led by him — during Sunday night’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Discussing a [...]

Despite making a guaranteed $26 million, the Associated Press reported today that former Tennessee Titans starting quarterback Vince Young is broke (Credit: AP Photo) Nearly six years after entering the NFL, as the third overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft, former Texas quarterback Vince Young is without a team. Vince Young Reportedly Broke - Just 6 years after signing a contract worth a guaranteed $26 million dollars, Vince Young is reportedly broke. Such a shame to see these guys not learn anything from players of the past who go through this very same situation, for whatever the reason. I find this very sad and I hope that current players see this and realize that you have to be responsable...

Falcons pick off Manning three times, hold on to edge Broncos

ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Falcons added to what was already one of the biggest questions of the young NFL season: Is Peyton Manning healthy? Atlanta picked off Manning three times in the first half Monday and survived a late Denver rally for a 27-21 win in front of a raucous crowd at the Georgia Dome. Matt Ryan threw two touchdown passes, one to Tony Gonzalez and the other to Roddy...

Manning falters early, Broncos lose to Falcons

Peyton Manning's second game with the Denver Broncos looked nothing like his first. Manning threw interceptions on Denver's first three possessions, and the Broncos could not recover from the poor start in a 27-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night. In a 3-hour, 27-minute game marred by questionable decisions from replacement officials and long clock stoppages...

Week 2 MNF: What to Expect When the Broncos Face the Falcons

Tonight should prove to be an exciting game when the Broncos roll into Atlanta to take on the Falcons.  Both of these teams had promising starts in week 1 and handled their opponents rather easily. Peyton Manning became the "Manning of Old" around the Broncos third or fourth drive last week, speeding up to the line and running a no huddle offense to perfection.  He has...

Week 2 Fantasy Football Recap: Broncos vs. Falcons

Peyton Manning came out and threw three interceptions in the first quarter. It was his return to Monday Night Football, a bit over hyped for the game he probably came out pressing which led to the interceptions. The Broncos were able to put together a late rally on the legs of Willis McGahee, but were unable to overcome the Falcons who jumped out to the early lead.Peyton Manning...

The Football Fan’s False Dichotomy: Rooting For Laundry

Editor's note: With Peyton Manning playing again tonight, and so far this season looking like himself, this is a fantastically written piece by Josh Boeke about the nature of fanhood. Specifically, Boeke takes on the nature of Colts fans and their now ex-quarterback Peyton Manning. While plenty has been written on the issue, this piece, in my opinion, is one of the most well...

Week 2 – Monday Night Falcons vs. Broncos Pick Against the Spread

We nailed two picks at 1:00, lost two at 4:00, and closed out Sunday of week 2 with a win thanks to the 49ers over the Lions. Tonight, we’re given an oustanding Monday Night game between the Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos. Is this one worth betting on? DENVER BRONCOS @ ATLANTA FALCONS (-3) The spread has not moved on this line at all, standing pat at Falcons (-3). I was expecting...

Thursday Night Panthers vs. Giants Pick Against the Spread

We escaped Monday Night with a win thanks to our Monday Night teaser special with the Broncos (+10) & Over 44. My initial gut feeling was to be all over the Falcons (-3), but there was lots of chatter of a Peyton Manning outright win, so I figured, there’s no way Peyton will lose by double digits on Monday Night, right? Well, he almost did, but we got the cover with our teaser...

Looking At The YAC Allowed In The Steelers 27-10 Win Over The Jets

Last week I noted the poor job the Pittsburgh Steelers did in their opener against the Denver Broncos at tackling the catch as they allowed 126 total YAC in that game. Now of course it did not help that Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas had 70 of those yards on the 1 yard screen pass from quarterback Peyton Manning that ended in a touchdown 70 yards later, but you just can&...
