Von Miller fined $7,500

Rookie and Pro Bowl strongside linebacker Von Miller was fined $7,500 for his unnecessary roughness penalty late in the Broncos 45-10 loss to the New England Patriots in a second-round playoff game last Saturday. Miller said he never heard the whistle but he clearly threw a block on New England special teamer Ryan Wendell well after quarterback Tom Brady’s third-down quick kick was blown dead with 2:56 remaining. A scuffle ensued but only Miller was penalized. It’s the second time this year Miller has been fined.
