Purple Jesus Diaries:
Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe is the best. He's the best punter in the game, the best video gamer on the team, the best interview in the state, and the best husband to his children. I'm assuming. He's also, in most of these cases, the only person he knows that does many of these things (joke about him not fathering his children correctly is extremely inappropriate, you guys). Or at least, that's what he'd tell you.Kluwe caught up with the Pioneer Press' Bob Sansevere the other day for what seems like his weekly interview, and answered a handful of questions that covered a variety of topics. Highlights are below the jump, but just as a warning ... Kluwe doesn't know much about things outside his own door. And how can you when YOU'RE SUCH A DAMN GOOD PUNTER.
Among the notable items here:
When asked who he thinks the second best punter in the NFL ever was or is, Kluwe provides this shocker: "Second? I don't know. I don't real...

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Among the many records Minnesota Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson has captured during his short five-year NFL career, there is one particular mark he holds above all the others.
Peterson has said his favorite record is the all-time, single-game rushing mark he set as a rookie, when he ran for 296 yards in just his eighth game as a pro.
Minnesota Vikings tight end Visanthe Shiancoe accused some of his teammates of quitting in Sunday's 42-20 home loss to the New Orleans Saints.
“I would say, you could see some guys hung it up," Shiancoe said in a radio interview. "Not a lot though. Like a very small handful of guys."
The Saints scored 28 unanswered points in the game and piled up 573 yards...
Viking players are griping anonymously to the media again, and that spells more bad news for Leslie Frazier. As usual, the griping revolves around the secondary. Judd Zulgad got the scoop from inside sources that many on the Vikings are unhappy with the way the team has handled cornerback Chris Cook and his legal issues. The gripe boils down to this: While the active players are...
Peterson wasn’t at all happy with his return to the Vikings line-up and neither was fantasy football owners.
For Vikings Pro Bowl running back ADRIAN PETERSON, it’s been a football season to forget in Minnesota. After assuring fantasy football owners he would play in Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints (thereby hinting that fantasy owners play him up after missing...

Coach Leslie Frazier's focus is not on job security, despite the Vikings' 2-12 record. Plus, what role, if any, will Cedric Griffin have in the team's final two games of the season?
The Vikings' star running back has not had many touches since he was in peak form at midseason.

Copy this image of Brett Favre and his Mississippi family picture, then paste it onto a Microsoft Word document. Then print out 10-20 copies and you are welcome. Don't worry, I already tweeted Jenn Sterger the image to make sure she was involved.
Via Favre's daughter family friend(?)
The 2-12 Vikings haven't had an interception in nine weeks (worst in the league) as they take on Washington, second in the league for giving up interceptions. Plus, a comparison of quarterbacks Christian Ponder and Rex Grossman.
