There is no doubt that Warren Sapp and John Lynch played huge roles in the success of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Today, their careers have been acknowledged by being nominated for 2013′s Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The list, which contains 127 nominees, also includes three other members from that memorable Super Bowl run for the Bucs: Lomas Brown, Keyshawn Johnson and Keenan McCardell. While they all respectively had a hand in the Bucs’ 2002 season, no other eligible players are more notable than Sapp and Lynch.

Warren Sapp was the 12th overall pick for the Bucs in 1995. During his time with Tampa Bay, he recorded 77 sacks. He ranks second on the Bucs all-time sack list and is 1.5 short of all-time leader Lee Roy Selmon. Sapp would go on to be a seven-time Pro Bowler as a member of the Buccaneers.

John Lynch was drafted in the third round of the 1993 draft by the Buccaneers. From 1993 to 2003, Lynch was a five-time Pro Bowler as a Buccaneer and a four-time All-Pro selection during his time with the Bucs. The man known best for his bone crushing hits on opponents also managed to record 23 interceptions with Tampa Bay, ranking him sixth on the Bucs all-time list.

There will undoubtedly be more names to come from that Buccaneers’ defense that helped lift the team into NFL supremacy. For now, as first ballot nominees, Sapp and Lynch represent the Bucs organization respectively well.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Week 4 NFL Power Rankings (#28)

Last week: 18 (-10) Record: 1-2 The Buccaneers are one of the few teams I’ve underrated before the season that’s actually become overrated 3 weeks into it. The Buccaneers have hung tough, on the scoreboard, with the Giants and Cowboys and beat the Panthers, but they’re not playing that well. They rank dead last in the league in yards per play differential, with a -2.0. No other...

Tampa Bay Bucs Mascot goes Gangnam style (not horrible)

Okay, we are kind of ashamed to admit we get a good laugh out of these Gangnam style videos. They aren't nearly as obnoxious as the "Call Me Maybe" spin-off's. And that, despite the words to Ganngam being mostly Korean. Of course we aren't sure what language "Call me Maybe" is in either. Anyway. Take a look at the video the Tampa Bay Buccaneers...

Da’Quan Bowers hoping to make an impact for the Bucs

With defensive end Adrian Clayborn done for the season, Da’Quan Bowers is hoping to help the Buccaneers out once he comes off the PUP list after week six. “There is still a long ways to go, I’m still about four weeks away,” said Bowers, who was placed on the physically unable to perform list a month ago. “Right now, I’m just taking it day by day. It’s up to coach (Greg...

John Lynch: NFL told broadcasters deal was imminent, go easy on replacements

Heading into the first week of the NFL regular season, the replacement officials were a huge story. After one of the biggest blown calls in NFL history on Monday night, they have become national news. While the league has done everything in its power to stop players and coaches from berating the fill-in refs, analysts and broadcasters are no longer holding back. Al Michaels and Cris...
