Last week we graded out the 2011 Washington Redskins Wide Receivers, which you can view here. The position needs one of those “Extreme Makeovers.” The offense is in total “retooling mode” (we as an organization don’t use that other word), and next to Quarterback, the receiver position is a major need.
Here’s the 2011 Washington Redskins Wr’s:
Jabar Gaffney
Santana Moss
Anthony Armstrong
Leonard Hankerson
Donte’ Stallworth
Niles Paul
Brandon Banks
David Anderson
Terrance Austin
Aldrick Robinson
Donte’ Stallworth and David Anderson are both 2012 free agents, and I don’t expect either to be resigned. Stallworth had a strong finish to the 2011 season, however, that’s after being cut by the Redskins. At 31 years old, I see no reason to bring him back, unless Mike Shanahan wants to use him as a training camp body. At 28 years old, maybe you resign Anderson for competition, however he didn’t do enough to warrant that move. In addition, neither possess what the Redskins truly need a...

Rex Grossman: Redskins Were a Damn Good 5-11, You Didn’t Want to Play Us
We love you, Rex Grossman. We really do. We admire the fact that you can go from starter, to backup, to starter, to Super Bowl, to backup, to starter, to backup, to kind of starter and just take it like a man. Mike Shanahan has not exactly given Grossman a long leash since he named him the starter in favor of Donovan McNabb last season. Somehow, Rex has kept on ticking....

Washington Redskins Have Interesting Connection to Senior Bowl
Washington Redskins Quarterbacks Coach Matt LaFleur is in an interesting position.
He has a chance to be a part of what could be the most important scouting event of this decade for the Redskins. He’s out there with the quarterbacks of the South, and has a chance to get a real nice look at their style, mannerisms, and playing ability.
How much of that intelligence will...

Raheem Morris ‘excited’ to be with Redskins
It doesn’t take long to spot new Washington Redskins defensive backs Raheem Morris on the field down here at this week’s Senior Bowl practices.
While the South team’s defensive backs ran through drills, the 35-year-old Morris barked out instructions almost non-stop. Later, during seven-on-seven drills with defensive backs making plays against receivers, Morris bounded around...
