Sportsday:
Patrick Watkins will start at strong safety now that Gerald Sensabaugh is sidelined with a broken thumb. Watkins played the majority of Sunday's loss after Sensabaugh was injured and finished with six tackles.
"I felt pretty good,'' Watkins said. "I tried to be on top of everything. For the most part, I think I did OK and I look to improve even more this week knowing I'm going to start.''
Watkins is in his fourth season with the Cowboys. He started nine games his rookie season and has come off the bench since.
"It's all a growing process,'' Watkins said. "I know more than I did as a rookie. I know more than I did last year. I've prepared better and studied better.''
Sensabaugh could be out for up to four weeks with the injury but hopes to return sooner.
