Jaguars owner Wayne Weaver has expressed several times his intentions to keep his team in Jacksonville.
No owner wants the lockout to end more than Jaguars Owner Wayne Weaver, because maybe it will give the national media something to talk about besides the Jaguars future in Jacksonville.
On Tuesday in an interview with Vito Stellino of The Florida Times-Union, Weaver once again reaffirmed his commitment to keeping the Jaguars in Jacksonville.
“I have no interest,” Weaver told Stellino in regards to moving the team to Los Angeles. ”I have been consistent in saying I am committed to Jacksonville and have no interest.”
Weaver’s comments were sparked by an article that appeared late last week that quoted AEG President Tim Leiweke as saying the Jaguars were one of five teams his company had contact with about buying a majority share and moving to Los Angeles.
