Oakland Raiders – 13, Miami Dolphins – 35

It certainly looks like the Raiders are going to be behind a lot, which means a lot of garbage time yards and scores for Carson Palmer (380 total yards, 1 TD, 1 INT).  He’s going to be worth starting at some point, and very well could be a top 15 QB this year in terms of fantasy stats.

Like Weeden and Luck, Ryan Tannehill (214 yards, 2 TDs) bounced back nicely and had a fairly useful fantasy day, which I’m sure helped absolutely no one.  Tannehill may someday develop into a good fantasy QB, but it won’t be this year.  It’s just good to note that he won’t completely kill the prospects of the Miami passing game.

Another week, another surprising stat line for TE Brandon Myers (6-86).  While Greg Knapp’s offense looks archaic, it’s starting to make Myers a viable candidate to be rostered in TE mandatory leagues.   Denarius Moore (3-67) came back for this game and shook off some rust to look good on a couple of catches, while Darrius Heyward-Bey (4-41) had another “meh” stat line.

For the second straight week, Brian Hartline (9-111) looked to be Tannehill’s favorite target.  At this point, Hartline should probably be scooped off the free agent pile, because somebody’s got to catch Tannehill’s passes.  Davone Bess (3-43) is another candidate, but so far hasn’t shown the rapport Hartline has with the rookie QB.

Two straight weeks of Darren McFadden (11 car., 22 yards; 2 rec., 19 yards) not being able to get untracked in the rushing game.  While it isn’t quite time to panic, we’re starting to get there.  At least no other running back is stealing McFadden’s thunder, although Mike Goodson (1 car., -6 yards; 3 rec., 83 yards, 1 TD) happened to be in on the play with broken coverage that resulted in a 64 yard TD catch and run.

One now has to wonder if Reggie Bush (26 car., 172 yards, 2 TDs; 3 rec., 25 yards) was ever being used properly in the Saints offense.  Bush has always insisted he’s an every down traditional running back, and I don’t think anyone ever believed him.  Well, it looks like Joe Philbin believes him, and Bush is rewarding that faith.  Never thought I’d say this a couple of years ago, but Bush is looking like an every week starter.
