Found October 03, 2013 on Juan Elway:
Juan’s In the Pistol With Philip Rivers @ Raiders Rivers is rolling (that’s gold) this season with 11 TD passes and only 2 INTs.  He also has banked 2 400 yard games already this season.  Sure this game won’t be over till like 2 in the morning on Sunday for East Coasters, but when they wake up the next morning, they will be happy campers. Ride ‘Em Eli Manning vs Eagles Manning has been a disaster, but the best recipe to get back on track is the lowly Eagles defense.  Manning still has some serious weapons at his disposal and he should be able to get the ball in their hands this week.  If you need him this week, I think he is a borderline QB1. Mike Vick @ NYG Vick is still the 4th highest scoring QB in fantasy football, so play him every week until further notice…or until he gets hurt.  The Giants D will put up little resistance in what should be a shootout. Hide ‘Em Carson Palmer vs Panthers  Palmer has fallen victim to having a group of turnstiles as his offensive line.  The Panthers strength is their front 7, which might wreck havoc on this offensive line. Andy Dalton @ Patriots Dalton without AJ Green would be Christian Ponder.  He hasn’t shown enough to warrant starting every week and the Pats have only allowed 12 points per game to opposing QBs. Sleepers Terrelle Pryor @ Chargers Pryor has been cleared for take off and the Chargers are a perfect victim for him to get his mojo back with.  NO team has given up more points to opposing QBs than the Chargers.  Pryor will be pushing the top 10 this week. Brian Hoyer vs Bills The Bills have allowed 2 TDs to every QB they have faced.  They have no one that can cover Flash Gordon and Jordan Cameron will get his.  Hoyer has been a top 5 fantasy QB over the last 2 weeks, so it would be no surprise to see him throw for 250 and 2 this week. Busts Colin Kaepernick vs Texans After giving up 4 TDs the first week to Philip Rivers, the Texans have shut down opposing QBs (Locker, Flacco, DangeRuss) to the tune 29 combined points.  Kap hasn’t been lighting the world on fire this season, so if you have a good backup (Rivers, perhaps?) then you could go with him. Russell Wilson @ Colts The Colts sound like a pushover, right?  WRONG.   They are the 4th best defensive against fantasy QBs and have only allowed 2 TD passes this season and 0 in their last 2 games.  Be careful with Russ this week. Sit Em. Start Em – Week Five

Sit Em. Start Em – Week Five Start Em Philip Rivers – Rivers continues to impress this season and is looking like a must-start against the lowly Oakland Raiders. He is making the most out of the weapons at his disposal and has already resuscitated the fantasy values of Eddie Royal and Antonio Gates. Rivers comes in as a top-six option this week after putting up top-five numbers...

Attention Fantasy Owners: START ELI MANNING THIS WEEK

Here you go folks, I am making a bold prediction.  Last week, I said Reggie Bush would tear it up and go for over a 100.  If you want to win, and you have Eli Manning start him this week.  The Giants will face the Philadelphia Eagles and Chip Kelly.  Well what we have learned […]

New York Giants vs Philadelphia Eagles a rivalry renewed

(Photo Credit: Al Bello/Getty Images) This Sunday the New York Giants at (0-4) will take on the (1-3) Philadelphia Eagles. If the Eagles win this match they can be in first place in the division. For the Giants it is a must win situation again. If the Giants lose this game, any still hopeful players and fans might start to give up on them. The Giants made a trade to acquire...

Giants counting on brotherly love to close gap in NFC East

If the New York Giants have any chance of salvaging this season, it sounds like the team believes it will have to pin their slim hopes on the broad shoulders of a Manning or two. If there was ever a good time for Giants quarterback Eli Manning to cash in on a family favor — it couldn't have come at a better time than this weekend. As the Oh-and-four Giants regroup after...

Chargers-Raiders Preview

While the San Diego Chargers' Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates have turned back the clock in coach Mike McCoy's up-tempo attack, the Oakland Raiders aren't certain what their offense will look like this weekend. The AFC West rivals are dealing with major injury concerns as the Chargers look to move above .500 by beating the Raiders for the 17th time in 20 meetings Sunday...

Kiffin Report: Finding the Defense's Weak Links

If there is one thing that makes football special, it is the individual components that add together to create team results. It is a team game - maybe the best team game ever created - but, it relies on each member of the team to carry out his assignment in his particular area of expertise to assist in the greater goal. When there is a weak link, a smart opponent will continue to...

The Bait and Switch: Players to Trade and Trade For

Time to take a look at players that we should look to be moving and players that we should be trying to acquire.  It’s time to bamboozle these fools with the Bait and Switch: Bait Mike Vick You know it’s coming.  One hit and this dude is out.  Now is the time to get the most value out of him.  He most likely is your 2nd QB, or maybe you grabbed Rivers off waivers...

Giants sign C Dallas Reynolds, waive RB Da’Rel Scott

The New York Giants signed center Dallas Reynolds, who started 14 games at center last season for the Philadelphia Eagles, Tuesday as three-time All-Pro right guard Chris Snee faces possible surgery if his torn labrum in his hip doesn’t improve. To make room on their roster for

How One More Super Bowl Win Changes the Legacy of Brady, the Mannings and Others

Quarterbacks are judged by Super Bowl wins.  Want to discuss Tom Brady versus Peyton Manning? What about Eli versus older brother? Is Joe Flacco elite? What about Ben Roethlisberger? Where does Aaron Rodgers rank compared with Brett Favre?  Start counting rings. It is simplistic. It's stupid. It is inevitable. For years, if a top quarterback...

New York can get out of Giant hole in the NFC Least

The New York Giants look terrible. The defense can’t stop opposing teams from scoring. The offense can’t protect Eli Manning and there is no running game to speak of. Yet even though the Giants are down 0-4 in the NFC East, this team can make a run for the postseason. It may seem like a long shot, but look at the other teams in that division. The Dallas Cowboys, who are always...

A New Era® of NFL Sponsorships

Yesterday we told you about someone screaming “Papa John’s” as Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning called out an audible. Now it isn’t entirely clear who made the call, but I’d be willing to bet it was a bunch of clever Eagles defenders trying to screw with Peyton. Pretty funny, but let’s also focus on the economic issue in play here: a company inadvertently received free...

2013 Season Week 5 Picks

The 1-3 Eagles travel to Jersey to take on the 0-4 Giants. Well, if this isn’t the battle of the pee-wees, I don’t know what is. The Eagles beat a 1-2 team, and lost to a 2-2 team…and two 4-0 teams. The Giants lost to those same two 4-0 teams (pattern here?), plus a 2-2 team and a 1-2 team. Hey, at least the Eagles *beat* our 1-2 team. I know the Giants are desperate for...
