Last Week: 7-4-2 / Overall: 41-54-4 / Best Bets: 7-7
Tampa Bay @ Minnesota -6.5
The Bucs might have left it all out on the field last week against the Saints. The Vikings are chugging right along like nobody thought they would and should win by a touchdown.
Washington +4.5 @ Pittsburgh
RG3 may not get the Skins to the playoffs this year, but he’s not letting his team get blown out either. His play will keep them close like it has all season.
Seattle @ Detroit -1
Both teams are coming off near identical low scoring losses to great defenses. The Lions are more likely to break that trend. Especially at home.
Carolina @ Chicago -9
After what Charles Tillman did to Calvin Johnson I don’t see how the Panthers can get Steve Smith going. Combine that with their non-existent running game and they should get steamrolled in Chicago.
New England “@” St. Louis +7.5
The Patriots have still shown no reason to be favored by more than a touchdown in any game.
Indianapolis @ Tennessee -3
Tough to get a read on this Titans team, but it’s not tough to pick against the Colts outdoors this year where they are 0-3.
Miami @ NY Jets -1
The Cinderella story of Tannehill and the Dolphins comes to an end this week after the Jets toss them back in last place in the division.
San Diego -1 @ Cleveland
With all the public possible consequences and realizations of what will happen if they lose to the Browns, the Chargers will come out with everything they have.
Jacksonville +16.5 @ Green Bay
That’s just too many points for a professional team to be getting. Right???
Atlanta @ Philadelphia -1
Now or never Mike.
Oakland @ KC (Pick em)
Ok. I pick the team that’s not starting Brady Quinn.
NY Giants -1 @ Dallas
Gotta go with the team that wins despite injuries instead of the team that wins despite its quarterback and coach.
New Orleans +7 @ Denver
I fully expect Denver to win outright, but the Saints are feeling it and will put up enough points to stay close.
San Francisco @ Arizona +7
Niners couldn’t slam the door shut on the Seahawks last week at home. The Cardinals are basically the same team and this one is in the desert. San Fran wins by a little.
Best Bets: Detroit, Oakland

The Seattle Seahawks believe they match-up well with Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson - a claim Johnson is willing to test on Sunday.
MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE
Since he will be matched up with Calvin Johnson (a/k/a Megatron) on Sunday, Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman changed his Twitter handle to "Optimus Prime."
Futile, this is the word I use to describe the Lions offense as the defense was the only aspect to only show up at Solider Field Monday Night. The Lions gave off that same ol’ Lions feel that Detroit fans know all to well with Detroit suffering a 13-7 whooping at the hands of the Bears.
Chicago manhandled Detroit from the first snap as Stafford hit Calvin Johnson on a 7 yard curl...
Richard Sherman talks a big game. He did it against Tom Brady. He will do it with any player. Sherman and his Seattle Seahawks secondary has been stellar in 2012, and they will look to continue their run against another once vaunted pass offense in the Detroit Lions.
But Sherman may have done something that is ill advised.
He may have woken a sleeping giant.
Well, not a real giant...
Only aficionados of the Transformers can truly appreciate the mini-controversy started Wednesday by Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman. Tune in each week to me and the news of the CCB. If not you will look like a guy who has lost his mind, or perhaps his head, it is Halloween soon after all. Headless Horseman anyone?
